Topic: High Self-Confidence | |

High confidence men and women will always humbly admit to their mistakes, and accompany it with their sweetest smile.
Except that high conf. people never make mistakes. |

I would agree with you OP. The men who consider themselves "in high esteem" are usually arrogant and condescending or at least from my experience they have been.
Most of them would not see it as arrogant nor condescending so letting them assess themselves really is a method for those doing the viewing. The self assessment will most likely not be accurate. In my experience, the more to the extreme you get on the pendulum of personal esteem the less accurate a person can be on self assessment. Low self esteem have the same problem in assessing themselves. They can't see themselves well at all either. |

Cheerup, you confuse me, but I agree with what I think your point is. The lecture kind of got in the way. I think we all understand the benefits of (an appropriate level of) confidence.
Dragoness, that's a really good point about low self-esteem and one that I've learned myself the hard way. In fact, I realized that refusing to believe others' good opinions of you is a form of . . . huh, arrogance is all I can think of. So that means I agree with Wux too. |
