Ya know kleistos rants do make sense.Sometimes i wonder also.
1)where are the original gospels?
2)theres no evidence of any of the biblical characters, besides the bible.
3)why didn't Jesus write his own gospel?
4)The floods did cover the entire earth, but believers even discredit their own book by saying the floods didn't.Read some of the threads.

research can answer those questions

1) http://www.onenesspentecostal.com/originalbooks.htm

2)http://www.allaboutjesuschrist.org/history-of-the-apostles-faq.htm

3) My answer would be, he was here to fulfill gospels already existing, not to write his own.

4) there are conflicting theories regarding the flood, no concrete proof that it did or did not cover the earth (as it would have been referred to in biblical times, not as it is now...)

4)

i have researched like crazy and there is no evideence of where the original gospels are and no physical evidence of the biblical characters.Moses,Noah,Jesus..etc.hell msharmony read up on King David besides a piece of something with the word David on it theres no physical evidence that king david even existed.Actually theres only assumptions where his Kingdom might have been.Linking possibilities isn't linking actual evidence.Funny how they can find all these older than abrahamic biblical characters that resemble abrahamic characters but can't find evidence of actual abrahamic characters.

By the way the King David thingy is fact not opinion, the Jews even claim the bible is the only evidence, they say they "MIGHT" have found something not actual 100% proof.

Now it MIGHT be possible there was a King David but not the exaggerated one in the bible.I will admit i do think some of the events in the bible did happen but they are slightly or way over exaggerated. But i don't believe in any of the God stuff or Jesus, just some events between tribes.

ya know whats even more fascinating is the fact that the egyptians never mention anything about Moses, the exodus or even having jewish slaves through their hieroglyphs or any scriptures at all.

its not really that odd that billions of people dont all have 'physical' evidence of their existence left behind thousands of years later

they didnt have printing presses in biblical days and material deteriorates,,,,

Research some more.

I believe a monolith has an inscription of a king who defeated "The House of David" as well as a few others...

And then after all your research fails, which it will.

Christianity has been destroying that which went against their religion for a long time.

You will have to go on what you can believe is the most healthy for yourself, because you have no business determining what others believe or how they live and then.....

You may need recovery from the terrible influences that religion has had in your life.

You will not discover them all at once.

Heck it will go so deep that you will have to realign some core beliefs that were taught you by religion.

Start with

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A SLUT because there is no such thing on the male side. Religion taught you that a woman should not be sexual unless given permission by a man to do so.

And there are many more...

Does anyone have any that come to mind to add to the list?

"you have no business determining what others believe or how they live"

"Take your own advice" perhaps?

edited to add Bible verse to well, you know..

Romans 2:21
New International Version (NIV)

21 you, then, who teach others, do you not teach yourself? You who preach against stealing, do you steal?

1. The original scriptures are in the Vatican Library.
2. - Flavius Josephus (AD 37?-101?, a Jewish historian) mentions John the Baptist and Herod - Antiquities, Book 18, ch. 5, par. 2
- Flavius Josephus (AD 37?-101?) mentions Jesus - Antiquities, Book 18, ch. 3, par. 3.
- Flavius Josephus (AD 37?-101?) mentions James, the brother of Jesus - Antiquities, Book 20, ch. 9.
- Flavius Josephus (AD 37?-101?) mentions Ananias the High Priest who was mentioned in Acts 23:2
3. Why would Jesus have to?
4. The flood did, it flooded the entire world. Who ever said it didn't?

Decided to post more of these external accounts.

- Thallus (Circa AD 52, eclipse of the sun) Thallus wrote a history of the Eastern Mediterranean world from the Trojan War to his own time. His writings are only found as citations by others. Julius Africanus, who wrote about AD 221, mentioned Thallus' account of an eclipse of the sun.
- Pliny the Younger mentioned Christ. Pliny was governor of Bithynia in Asia Minor. Pliny wrote ten books. The tenth around AD 112.
- The Talmud

Not saying these books are divinely inspired, as I do not personally know these books.
it's the "science and faith" thread where peeps type the flood didn't cover the entire earth. Also Cowboy the original hebrew, aramaic and greek gospels are just chillin in the vatican?

Cowboy it's a known fact that the gospels in the vatican are copies, they aren't the originals actually written from the supposive authors themselves. And i just realized i really screwed up on the 20ft of water thingy in the "science and faith" thread,it was 20ft above the highest moutain not 20ft up a mountain wtf was i thinking,i guess i wasn't.

Let me put it to you this way,if you do some searching which isn't much you'll find that they find copies of the gospels, matter of fact i just read where they have the oldest copy so far from a Luke gospel....NOTE:Copy not original.

In other words even those who claim they go by the original scriptures are fooling themselves cause the actual scriptures written by the original authors do not exist. And Msharmony brings up a very important point, they didn't have copy machines or printers everything had to be done by hand and interpreted so there is plenty of room for human error.
