Hey guys do you's think I should use a real pic of myself for my profile? I don't really want to have a pic of myself on here yet I feel rather rude when I can see other people and others don't know what I look like.

There's nothing wrong in putting up a real pic of yourself since your seeking a women for some action. I dont get it why you wont. There's no possiblity that someone saw your face and BOOOm your dead in 7days. The scream killer isnt on cyber world. If your soo shy to show your face, then finding a partner online is far from your reach.

I just feel people make snap decisions based on looks thought I would go for a different approach.

People DO make snappy judgements based on looks. But it's not necessarily being shallow. There has to be some level of attraction. I have the pic I have now because I have been on here for years and I am not really looking for anything other than friends anymore. I do have real pics though. But it is really up to you whether or not to use your real self or not. Don't change based on others opinions.

I haven't ever responded to someone on a dating site unless they have some picture of themselves. It doesn't matter how interesting their profile seems to me, I just know I can't get enough of a sense of them without the picture to go any further - and there's something a bit off-putting about knowing that they can see me but I can't see them (just like you've said).

My pic is of me facing away from the camera, so that hits the balance between showing something about myself without feeling like I'm on 'stage' here.

Doesn't matter how interesting your profile is, not having a pic is a turn off and not someone I would take seriously.

I feel like people who don't put a photo on a profile are entitled to their choice but generally I would consider a person who does not use a photo only half interested in the concept and it is kind of doomed from the start.

I understand some people have jobs or celebrity that makes pasteing your face up pretty intimidateing but you can be conservative about how you conduct yourself on line and weed out the people you do not want to associate with.

Generally if someone is going to shoot you down for your looks it is better to know it up front or in the case of online dateing generally avoid it all together. SOmetimes no response is a blessing.

Honestly, if you're serious about dating, you should put a real pic up. If you're not here for dating, but more for the forums, don't bother. Either way, do what's comfortable to you.

When I was here for dating, I didn't consider dating those with no pics or no pics of themself.

It depends on what you're looking for here. If you're just here to chat, then no picture is needed. If you're actually planning on meeting people, then you should strongly consider putting up a picture of yourself, as most people will not meet someone who does not have a picture on their profile.
