I used to buy five different liquors and bury my nose in a Barlow's Bartender's Guide and make at least five different cocktails and party over the weekend, then back to work on Monday. I mastered the Seven Layered Nightmare Also known as the Pousse` Cafe



A special spoon is used along with a very steady hand! I never got a chance to do the Fire Ceremony with Absinth (got some too!). But mixology was fun for me with the challenge being to make drinks that appeased everyone present. Critique led to some spectacular experimentation who's results are forever burned in my memory. Oh the variations of just the Long Island Iced Tea. Lemonade style, Passion fruit twist, Sweet Bourbon kiss, and the Long Island ICY tea. I wanted to make a drink called the Cobra but finding the Parfait Amore Liquor proved to be VERY challenging. I know it is out there but finding it is another story! So many flavors to combine for that pleasing buzz that lasts all night long...
