How deep her phantom beauty lies,
Beneath her unseen devilish eyes;
Black as night and cold as stone
From within no light has ever shone.

In her smile is the deadliest game,
For her essence cannot be tamed,
A wild creature in the darkened night,
She has no need of a shining knight.

She reflects such grace and power,
And if you’re weak she’s sure to devour
Your living soul, gone in a glimmer
Leaving your heart to stew and simmer.

Be careful of her vixen charm,
To the admirer it does not alarm
Until she comes with a serpents kiss,
As the moonlight reflects off her lips,

Remember these words I speak to you,
For I know it’s making you blue,
From afar you’re sure to admire,
Even have a longing desire,

To set your feature,
To woo this creature.
But once you start it can’t be undone,
You cannot tame what you have not won.

I knew a girl just like this.
She was my first love.
This girl was beautiful (on the outside anyway).
She looked just like Lynda Carter, the lady that
played Wonder Woman on TV.
I was a skinny, average looking guy and
I felt so good being around her.
Turned out she was cheating on me
the whole time we were together.
When I caught her at it
she broke up with me.
That girl did a real number on
my heart. It took over 20 years to
completely lose the pain, mistrust, and insecurity
that she planted there. I moved on
with my life of course. About two
months later I met the girl I married
and am still married to but
the pain was still in my head
and I could've had an even better relationship
with my wife if I could've only let go
of the pain.
You are right when you caution us
to beware of the evil girl but
to the ladies- there are guy out there
that are just as evil and heartless.

myQuest, that is very good I really liked it. It grabs you into the web
that was weaved and catches your soul like a trapped fly waiting
yearning to get away and knowing there is no escape.

Thank you for your kind words...I enjoy writing poems, and I like it
when someone else gets something out of them.
