I like...a lot of these are true. But they don't apply to me. I always say what I'm thinking. Yep, me too which either gets me in trouble or sends the guy running away. 
Ain't that the truth...WHY do guys run??? GUYS...ahem...hmmm? Because they can't handle the truth. This is why most folks lie in relationships. I haven't lied in my relationships and you are right being truthful and expecting the truth makes men nervous (in my experience only) also that I cannot be controlled and I refuse to agree just to "get along" as much as they say otherwise most men (not ALL) do not like strong women Of course men don't like strong women; I know that first hand. You see what I mean about lying is when someone lies to not hurt the other's feelings. I don't do that. If I am not happy with say the love making; I would tell him even if it hurt his feelings. I also have no problems telling a man that I don't need a man in my life if he asks me that question. Of course a guy doesn't want to hear that but I am being truthful. Men don't tell women they look fat as it would hurt their feelings. Even if you are trying to not hurt someone by telling them the truth; its a lie; however most relationships are built on those types of lies. I like strong, smart women. They're just hard to come by. Look how long it took Audrey to find me!   
You are also younger so more open minded about strong women. You are wise enough to see the wisdom in that. Men in my age category are like frightened little children. Congrats to you and Audrey.
