that people always want to see the dirt and grime of the ghetto, but never want to stop and appreciate the flowers that grow from the concrete?

this reminds me of this one picture i commented on that some famous artist posted on facebook.
the picture was of this one thing he was building in his driveway,
and i told him to excuse my irrelevance but i appreciated the weeds growing in the cracks of the pavement.
:p

lol, that actually goes exactly with what I'm saying. I would love to see this painting.

Why can't we appreciate things like that more often?

Honestly, being raised in some of the worst towns in the US, Yes, the fact that nature will find a way is amazing, please do not get me wrong.

The one thing I do find more beautiful than that is how quickly people strive to work together in times of need. This isn't a major crisis like a hurricane or something like that, but when I volunteer at my local food closet, you would be amazed at how quickly everyone steps up to plate even for the little things like carrying out someone's groceries to their car, or giving someone a ride who cannot carry all the groceries by themselves.

exactly
why in heaven should I appreciate a weed in the ghetto when I can appreciate a field, forest floor, or mountain meadow FULL of beautiful wildflowers of all kinds and not have to put up with.........drugs, gangsta, insults, hos, traffic, smells, and general rudeness and danger to my well being

crazy

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Most people see ghettos as nothing but crime ridden and run down neighborhoods, but it's there where you will find some of the purest forms of love.

Yes there is crime and violence, but that's not all it is.
