Everyone deserves and needs a vacation...

Couldn't agree more.waving

Why should anyone have to settle for second class anything...drinker

I never got vacations when my family was young. The extent of a vacation for me was a night out and paying a babysitter...
so I moved to the beach. : )

Was the move very expensive?

Not the way I did it. I took a month, saved money, cleared out my 4 bedroom house, helped my boys get settled elsewhere, loaded up my car and drove west.

My monthly expenses now are what just my rent was in Utah.

I waited years to do it...waited for my boys to grow up.
Been about a year and a half now and I think it was the best thing I ever did for myself.

What views are you looking for, yes I work no I cannot afford everything....As Leigh stated there are programs, if you choose to use them. If a medical emergency arises, I can choose a payment plan, or I can choose not to go and just deal with it.

People expect too much, they choose to do too much that cost too much......you can choose days at the beach for free, you can choose to fish for free, you can choose so many things to do for free on a daily basis. So, exactly why is a vacation necessary when life can be a vacation?? I don't really understand what you are getting at.

This is not Personal

Some people ignore a question and that is their prerogative but IIMO that you didn't read the original post correctly.

It beats me why people who work and cannot afford

Good quality food

Quality Health Care

A decent home..

A decent car

An Annual Holiday..Abroad..

To send their children to decent quality schools

To Buy Quality Shoes and clothes

PAY TAX <------------

Would be happy to as soon as you pose a question. It really looks like a statement to me. IMO

Oh I do plop in a chair at work, all the houses are on the beach.
I'll sit there during a break and pretend it's my house...beautiful homes. Ya never know..if I pretend enough I may just create one of my own.

Actually right now I have too much time off. We only work when peeps come to the beach. Winter is slow..even the season during the summer was slow. People are holding on to their money and these houses run them about 300 a night, or more.

Just had a look at one of those houses..$1,595,000

That's a lot of creative thought..drinker

This is the one I'm at.
There are tons of them here. 70% of this town is empty homes all winter...Shame when we have so many homeless sleeping on the beach.

Good for you! When I moved from Ohio to Tennessee, pushing 9 years ago, it was very expensive....The expense for me was re establishing in a new state (state requirement fees), moving my furniture (it was cheaper than replacing it though), real estate sales commission, ...seemed like every time I turned around that first year there was another moving related expense to deal with.....

George Bernard Shaw was an Irish playwright and a co-founder of the London School of Economics.

Do not waste your time on Social Questions. What is the matter with the poor is Poverty; what is the matter with the rich is Uselessness.
