Took in a stray male cat a few weeks ago. Been working real hard on getting him to trust me. Been scratched, bitten and hissed at more times than I can count. Such a cute little fella that just has not been shown real love but I won't give up on him. Today he rolled around on the floor and rolled over to my feet without a hiss, scratch or bite and just layed there and looked at me. Tears came down my face and a warm feeling like being touched by an angel came over me. Thank god I can still feel the little things in life :)

seeing my favorite dog (besides my own, of course) getting sweet messages from this guy i like (and trust me, sweet does not come easy for him! lol) bringing the dog i'm watching home from day care, and her going straight to sleep

I have a pic on my desktop of Jennifer Hudson, which reminds me of her Weight Loss commercial, which reminds me "If you want it, you've got it. You just have to believe.", which motivates me to work towards my goals, in turn this makes me smile. Not only is she a beautiful lady, but I find those words to be inspirational, not only for weight loss, but for other aspects of life as well. I put this pic. on my desktop a day or so ago, but have already noticed the positive energy that it has evoked, just by reminding me of that simple message every time I glance at my desktop.

Thank god I can still feel the little things in life :) My uncle rescued a mastiff/pitt that was being abused and trained to be a fighter. He was the most loving dog IF he knew you, otherwise it was best not to go near him. It wasn't his fault for being like that, he truly was a loving and caring creature, but he was abused and scared, which turned him into the seemingly ferocious monster. Funny thing is, he was terrified of sweepers and thunderstorms. I mean this dog was as big as Marmaduke, yet would come whimpering and laying next to you when he heard thunder. He was a big baby, but had a rough first few years. He eventually had to be put down when my uncle passed away, no one else was able to handle him.
