Support the killing of people in central America by the drug running gangs?

Everytime you partake of illegal drugs, be it pot or whatever, there is blood on your hands.

Just thought you should know you finance those gangs activities...

Now sleep well with a clear conscious those of you who grow your own.

yes I tend to agree, and purchase many products with a mind to the consequences when I can, but especially something not necessary, yes.

A lot of folks will tell u they use homegrown only, but unless they're going to be pretty big and brave...I kinda doubt that is always the case for most users

Yeah, I just learned about the child slavery issue. I wrote to my favorite chocolatier asking about it, and to my shock they replied promptly with a personal letter, giving me a link to the website of their supplier. Which has some nice-sounding things on it but nothing guaranteeing they are taking clear steps.

I kind of feel for my chocolatier because as a business, they need tons of chocolate from a middleman. They're really a very small business, so their own influence on their own suppliers can't be that huge. But I hope my little letter at least nudged them in the right direction.

Today I looked for organic/fair trade chocolate chips. Found them, but they cost twice as much as weren't as good. Oh well. Coming next, a letter to Dove.

its an emotional issue that tends to oversimplify. There is a CHANCE that you may have acquired meat from a place that uses cruel practices on its cows,, but that doesnt mean EVERY time you have meat that has been or is the case

pot is not ALWAYS and EVERYTIME coming from someones death,,,

illegal drugs do not have to come from central america , especially pot

hemp was once promoted and encouraged, its illegal now because government cant make their money from it (imho), but its still no more or less dangerous than it was when government was promoting its use,,,

Legalize all drugs, that's the best choice for everyone.

Mexico drug war deaths over five years now total 47,515

Mexican officials say nearly 13,000 people were killed in violence blamed on organised crime between January and September last year.

This means there have been 47,515 drug-related killings since President Felipe Calderon launched his crackdown on drug traffickers in late 2006.

There is really no need for concern.. We should certainly be more concerned about how cows and chickens are treated..

People forget here in the US that the other war,you know the war on drugs thanks to Reagan,is sucking up $15 to $16 billion dollars a year and theres still no stopping the supply of drugs coming into this country.Wanna know why? It's simple the demand in this country is to high.No pun intended.

The drug war costs us $41.3 billion annually. That's a big chunk of change. We also would eliminate many of the murders and especially the deaths of innocents. Like you said, farmer's markets could start selling their home grown marijuana.

But that's just recreational drugs. I'm also pro-legalization of all pharmaceuticals. From experimental cancer treatments to sleeping pills. We can easily see how many people were killed or injured by a drug that doesn't work, but we can't know how many people could be saved by the early release of a drug or how many people suffer because the FDA didn't legalize a drug that is used with good results in other countries.
