"Ask" Could I love you if you let me… Could I make you laugh and cry… Could I take you to that place… Where only lovers fly… Can I heal your open wounds... Walk you toward the light… Thaw a frozen heart… Soothe a restless night… Are you a man who needs love… The kind that I can give… Do you dream in present tense… Do you want to live…. Is your today tomorrow… Only looking back… Was it real or just pretend… A cinematic cast… Do you feel what I feel… Can you see the sun… Let it shine on your face… Or will you turn and run… Are we just two people… Chance meeting in a crowd… Can you reach the mount with me… Cast off your tattered shroud… I am just a woman… With lines upon my face… Each one tells a story… Of life, of love, of grace… Like the road I travel… A steep and winding path… I've stumbled and I've fallen… I've cried and then I've laughed… Do you want to know me… Look inside my soul… Do you want to touch my heart… Stay with me, grow old…. Are you different or the same… As those who live my past… Are you the one I never found… Is this new love the last…. Ask. Do you really care, enough about me to share. Your giggles, your tears, your inner most fears. Will you lay with me in love's bed. Through visions inside your head. Can you heal me, with your want of desire. Embrace me, warm me, with your lustful fire. Can you see past my wrinkled lines, so defined. Through your eyes, see me handsomely redesigned. As our morning sun starts to rise, Will you bare your soul with mine, never to disguise. Do you want to open every door within my mind. Take my good with my bad, being kind, with all you find. Can you strip away, all that you have been. See in me, your last love, to ever begin. Would you want me, to never part, for that pain, would surely stop your heart. Will you want to keep me, as I grow weak and small. Knowing that together, we could never fall. Are you certain, its me you want beside you. Our names engraved, upon that marble wall. Made just-for-you, Leigh.... From this man's depth of heart. I mean,,ANYONE,,can say NICE WORK,,Or GREAT POEM? But, to really hear your blood flowing, in its every beat...one needs to touch, that special place inside your soul. Where no-other, has ever been.. inject----------------------> ME.............
