You keep yourself at distance, and there's nothing I can do.
The only one who can ease your pain....is you.

Others bear their own pain, you know this to be true.
And when they even try to help, the barrier....is you.

Your walls so tall and deep, to others you are lost.
Walls may keep you safe inside, but in time what is the cost?

You say now look who's talking,
the one afraid of walking.

But one day on a platter, my heart I'll freely give.
Because I know that without love, there is no life to live.

I hope one day you will decide....to take your heart and open wide.
I hope that you will let someone else inside.

For on that day you'll find, a little happiness came in.
You'll see your own reflection, and marvel at your grin.

I hope that you soar....ten feet off the ground.
I hope this also, that I am still around.

For that will be a sight to see.
