And, even though it's horror related..
May.

I like Lucky's films, besides May- The Woods, Red, The Woman. Also liked him in the film Roman. Still haven't seen is first film All Cheerleaders Die.

I'm not sure why, but I didn't really care for The Woman, much. I thought I would like it.

I like these kinds of movies, I even liked its predecessor The Offspring(despite the kids cheesy appearance).

Lemora: A Child's Tale of the Supernatural '73- Young teen comes home to see her dying father, and discovers vampires. American.

The Reflecting Skin '90- In the 1950's a boy fears the widow his older brother is seeing is a vampire. Canadian.

Who Can Kill A Child? '76- Vacationing couple visiting a small island village learns all of the children have killed off the adults. Spanish.

One I totally forgot about.
I'm A Cyborg, but That's Ok.

And, even though it's horror related..
May.

When I first started online dating, fellas said they were into horror movies. They would list things that would be on the film of the month club list. Mild. I would use May as a gage to see if they were really horror fans or just trying to blow smoke. 9 out of 10 times they were blowing smoke.

May goes in my book as the all time best. And I thought that actress was perfect for that part.

I like horror movies and I have never seen May. Don't movies come down to personal taste? I mean, couldn't a guy like horror movies without liking "May"? I like comedies, but I was bored by "Bridesmaids".

The girl that played May was perfect for the role. She also played Carrie in the remake of Carrie, if I could have stood watching it for more than 2 minutes it might have been alright. However, I do know a lot of people who love horror movies, and couldn't stand that movie. (May, that is.) For whatever reason.

On, a side note. I actually watched Neo Ned. It was a decent movie. I'm trying to catch up on my movie list while I have the flu.

Another one I forgot to mention was, The Nines. However, it was horrible and the trailer didn't prepare me for the random bursting out in song.

Angela Bettis, I really like her. She was great in The Toolbox Murders remake. She also directed Lucky McKee in Roman.

I couldn't think of her last name, and I still haven't watched The Toolbox Murders remake. That gives me more of a reason too.

Even if you don't like the movie, I think you'd like her in it. Her character could have fit right in a 70's type thriller, or something like Rosemary's Baby.

Yet you have watched "Bridesmaids" despite that you were bored with it.

I am not asking if he likes a certain movie, I am trying to find out how extensive his horror tastes run.

When I am talking to someone about horror movies and they say they like horror movies, they are horror fans and love all horror and all they can say that they have watched is "The Ring" or "The Village" , that they have never heard of any thing more than "I know what you did last summer" , thats when I throw out May, Audition, Toolbox Murders and other horror movies, that die hard horror buffs at least know about if not watched.

So hense the blowing smoke, since I do not consider "I know what you did last summer" as a true horror flick. Its more like a campy horror comedy. And thats ok too, but do not tell me that those types of movies are nitty gritty horror films.

So a good gage or screening of the depth of horror a person knows about in my opinion.

I understand what you are saying, but I wouldn't enjoy May, Audition or Toolbox Murders. I'm very turned off by both supernatural horror (it's schlocky) and torture porn.

Give me "The Thing" or "From Beyond" any day.

I cringe when I think that people actually watch that crap. Human Centipede, Audition, the SAW series and the Hostel series. There is enough human on human violence without Hollywood giving the crazies new ideas.

Weren't you the one who said "Don't movies come down to personal taste?"? Everyone likes different things, and there's an audience for different things.

The term "torture porn" was created by a clueless critic who didn't know what to call these types of films.

Yes, they do come down to personal taste, that's true. I just don't like those movies. I didn't realize that torture porn was an offensive term, what term would you prefer?

I'm with Torgo on that. I hate the term Torture Porn.
Splatter film works, which was a term coined by Romero.

Then I'll use Splatterfilm.

As I remember, Clive Barker's novels were called "Splatterpunk" back in the day.

I forgot about that. There is another term as well, but I can't remember what it is exactly.

The best WORST movie ever made - ZARDOZ, starring Sean Connery.

Pop some popcorn, invite over some unsuspecting friends. You will NOT be able to look away. Your life will be changed forever - and not for the better! Really. You will have shared a major life experience with your homies that you will talk about for decades to come.
