Topic: Who Wants War With Iran?

After reading some of the comments in this thread,i find it strange that some assume if the US bombs the facilities Iran will just say "Ok ok we give up." Very wishful thinking.Iran isn't Iraq. Iran knows they cant go toe to toe with US especially when the MAJORITY of the world is behind us on this one. Just like when Israel took out Saddam's Nuclear facility and Syria's. Boy that sure led to war under your logic right? NOT!

Iran has killed hundreds, if not thousands, of US soldiers and civilians in Afghanistan and Iraq by proxies by sending IED's, mines, and general munitions to insurgents. To say that they have never attacked anyone is begging the point. They have expressed the most radical of world views and are the primary supporters of terrorism in the middle east. The possession of nuclear weapons by Iran is an invitation for them to supply terrorist groups with the ability to slip WMDs into cities in Israel and the US for attacks that make 9/11 look mild by comparison. The EU has just joined the embargo against Iranian oil in an effort to open talks about the inspection and elimination of nuclear bomb capability in Iran. Any clear headed person can see that Iran is a serious threat to world peace and a major sponsor of terrorism.

As the Consortium News website puts it, "a torrent of war propaganda against Iran is flooding the American political scene as US neocons and Israeli hardliners see an opening for another war in the Middle East". There are relatively small warmongering lobbies in the country which are ideologically driven and continuously active. Hence, the powerful subgroups. Principal among them are neoconservatives and hardline Zionists. Both of these groups are endowed with "deep pockets" and therefore can buy a lot of politicians and media access. Buying such influence, as long as it is done within very loose guidelines, is at once disastrous and perfectly legal. Hence, corruption through the manipulation of money.

Here's a little prayer for all the warmongering hypocrites.... O Lord God of war, we beseech thee to bless our troops in their latest military adventure. Go with U.S. soldiers as they travel around the globe to intervene in the affairs of other countries. Use the U.S. military to smite the enemies of the United States just like thou used the children of Israel in the Old Testament to smite the heathen nations. We ask for thy special protection on the U.S. soldiers who have invaded Iraq and Afghanistan and now occupy those countries. Guide every bomb to its target, and every bullet to the heart of its victim. We pray that thou would send these Muslims to hell who dare to plant roadside bombs to harm U.S. soldiers. Indeed I have allways known talk is cheap its actions that count. Who has Iran realy attacked since the over throw of our puppet the Shaw? We egged Saddam to attack Iran way back when then betrayed him after we used him. I would honestly have to say my own country the USSA is the biggest threat to world peace and has been for many years.

You've got to be kidding! It might start with a conventional attack on the Iranian threat to the Straits of Hormuz to prevent retaliation in that venue... or subsequent to same. The US would be more likely to attempt to remove the threat with conventional weapons. Israel does not have the volume of capability as the US so might tend more to use a nuke to prevent a nuke.

Again as we americans have shown again and again we are the biggest threat to world peace. Iran has attacked no one unlike Uber Amerika that attacks just about anyone. The only countries we dont attack are ones that are armed with nuclear weapons like North Korea, I hope Iran gets one so its one less country my country will attack and visit the horrors of war apon. I was just wondering though since your so pro military intervention what branch of service were you in?
