Pakistan? For all intents and purposes, that's just a client state of the US empire. They'll probably have a standoff with the Afghans for a another few thousand years. N. Korea's regime is a bunch of sabre-rattlers once in a while, but AFAIK they don't have the resources to start a nuclear conflict. I personally like the game that the Russians are playing. They control a helluva lot of resources and could get in the way of US hegemony if they really wanted to. drinker

Bombing the keyrap out of their nuclear
development facilities will only result
in the elimination of their nuclear facilities.

How many Murdered Innocent Iranians will you be comfortable with?

It will be minimal since only military and civilian contractors involved in Irans illegal nuclear facilities will be killed when we take the facilities out.

minimal like iraq was supposed to be....

over 6,000 dead americans and more than
100,000 iraqi's, many were unarmed civilians

and your ok with this, REALLY?

Don't worry. As long as they get to learn about all the brown people that get murdered on Fox News they'll be happy. Civilians be damned, they'll say-it's all in the name of fightin fer freedumz! (except they also gladly obliterate freedomz every chance they get, so their propaganda is really amusing in a dark way. After all, since they hate us fer our freedomz, they won't hate us anymore if the freedomz are gone! whoa )

U.N. Agency Says Iran Data Points to A-Bomb Work
By DAVID E. SANGER and WILLIAM J. BROAD
Published: November 8, 2011

United Nations weapons inspectors have amassed a trove of new evidence that they say makes a “credible” case that “Iran has carried out activities relevant to the development of a nuclear device,” and that the project may still be under way.

Report on Nuclear Efforts Draws a Muted Response From the White House (November 9, 2011)
Report Undercuts Iran’s Defense on Nuclear Effort (November 9, 2011)

The long-awaited report, released by the International Atomic Energy Agency on Tuesday, represents the strongest judgment the agency has issued in its decade-long struggle to pierce the secrecy surrounding the Iranian program. The findings, drawn from evidence of far greater scope and depth than the agency has previously made public, have already rekindled a debate among the Western allies and Israel about whether increased diplomatic pressure, sanctions, sabotage or military action could stop Iran’s program.

Knowing that their findings would be compared with the flawed Iraq intelligence that preceded the 2003 invasion — and has complicated American moves on Iran — the inspectors devoted a section of the report to “credibility of information.” The information was from more than 10 countries and from independent sources, they said; some was backed up by interviews with foreigners who had helped Iran.

The report laid out the case that Iran had moved far beyond the blackboard to create computer models of nuclear explosions in 2008 and 2009 and conducted experiments on nuclear triggers. It said the simulations focused on how shock waves from conventional explosives could compress the spherical fuel at the core of a nuclear device, which starts the chain reaction that ends in nuclear explosion.

The report also said Iran went beyond such theoretical studies to build a large containment vessel at its Parchin military base, starting in 2000, for testing the feasibility of such explosive compression. It called such tests “strong indicators of possible weapon development.”

Note "from more than 10 countries and from independent sources, they
said; some was backed up by interviews with foreigners who had
helped Iran." and backed up by the IAEA.

They were well aware that they would face such criticism so were
especially careful in vetting their information.

Building nuclear weapons capability within a radical Islamic theocracy.
It's as dirty as it gets in Iran. That is why it will be cleaned up.

Before Iran can cause a real nuclear mess everywhere.

After reading some of the comments in this thread,i find it strange that some assume if the US bombs the facilities Iran will just say "Ok ok we give up." Very wishful thinking.Iran isn't Iraq.

What is even more worrying is some think that no humans will be killed/murdered.

Some of those sites in Iran are built in heavily populated areas.

And some people forget that Iran has the Technology and can start all over again only next time they might want revenge on an unprovoked attack.

And more forget that Israel has Nuclear and is undeclared.

And even more forget that every country has a right to defend itself.

The Profit margins of the warmongers must be getting low.

Setting himself far apartfrom his Republican colleagues, Republican presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul suggestedthat the U.S. should haveless involvement in Israel's affairs.
"I think they're quite capable of taking care ofthemselves," he said.
The statement came in response to a question in a Tuesday night debate about whether the GOP candidates would, as president, support Israel in an attack against Iran.
Paul responded that he wouldn't expect such an attack to take place -- but if it were to, "Why does Israel need our help? We need to get outof their way."
The United States sends roughly $3 billion to Israel in military assistance every year.
If they were to conduct such an attack, "that's their business, but they should suffer the consequences," Paul continued. He added that Israel has hundreds of nuclear missiles, so"they can take care of themselves."
Paul pointed to Egypt as an example of foreign intervention that can go awry. The U.S. has sent billions to Egypt only to see a government begin to emerge this year that will be less friendly to Israel, he said.

Iran has killed hundreds, if not thousands, of US soldiers and civilians in Afghanistan and Iraq by proxies by sending IED's, mines, and general munitions to insurgents. To say that they have never attacked anyone is begging the point.

They have expressed the most radical of world views and are the primary supporters of terrorism in the middle east. The possession of nuclear weapons by Iran is an invitation for them to supply terrorist groups with the ability to slip WMDs into cities in Israel and the US for attacks that make 9/11 look mild by comparison.

The EU has just joined the embargo against Iranian oil in an effort to open talks about the inspection and elimination of nuclear bomb capability in Iran. Any clear headed person can see that Iran is a serious threat to world peace and a major sponsor of terrorism.

Nah. They won't give up. At least it won't be any worse that it is now
with their terrorist support network.

But, they will not have nuclear capability!

Why we must support Israel ?
I don’t have to tell you that the United States is in deep, deep trouble. We have a major financial crisis that can never be reversed and the country is also morally bankrupt. We have allowed President Obama to spend all of our savings and put every single American in debt that we can never repay. Americans are afraid to go out on the streets because of drugs and crime.
Why we must support Israel ?

Nah, I don't know you well enough yet to say that. (you do have a bloodlust for people that happen to be brown, but that in itself is only reason for suspicion, not proof) The point George was making is that it's easier and more politically convenient to go after brown people for no particular reason than with white people. (especially considering brown people are not nearly as well armed, making it a quick and profitable business for the military/industrial/political complex to make up reasons to bomb them) You are simply a chickenhawk from everything you've given us to know about you.

Here's a little prayer for all the warmongering hypocrites....

O Lord God of war, we beseech thee to bless our troops in their latest military adventure. Go with U.S. soldiers as they travel around the globe to intervene in the affairs of other countries.

Use the U.S. military to smite the enemies of the United States just like thou used the children of Israel in the Old Testament to smite the heathen nations. We ask for thy special protection on the U.S. soldiers who have invaded Iraq and Afghanistan and now occupy those countries.

Guide every bomb to its target, and every bullet to the heart of its victim. We pray that thou would send these Muslims to hell who dare to plant roadside bombs to harm U.S. soldiers.

We know that thou will look after widows and orphans – so please help our soldiers, thy soldiers, to create as many widows and orphans as possible.
Destroy the young Iraqi and Afghan children with bullets, malnutrition, or disease before they grow up and become suicide bombers.

We beseech thee to guide all Predator drones to their targets in Pakistan and all the other countries where terrorists and their families need to be killed. Fill U.S. soldiers, thy servants, with the spirit of indifference to the death and destruction that they are causing. Avenge the United States, thy country, for the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

We also humbly request that thou move upon Congress to not only increase funding for this war, but the overall military budget as well so thy people can fight another just war against the Muslim infidel.

All these things we ask in the name of the Prince of Peace.
Amen

Laurence M. Vance
