So, today I decided I would dye my hair purple. I change my hair often. Purple sounded like a good idea. So, I bleached it.. and was putting on my purple raw hair dye. For anyone who doesn't know, raw hair dye is pretty much straight color pigment and whatever else that put in there. So, it stains HORRIBLY. Anyway, I put Vaseline around my hair line, always so it won't stain my skin, and what happens? I go to put hair dye and a huge glop lands further down on my face. Thankfully I had a hair dye wipe, but I still look as if I killed Barney and he splattered some sort of inky purple blood on me. (I couldn't think of any other analogy.)
Anybody else do ridiculous things like that? |

ha.
you shoulda seen what my sink looked like when i did muh hair red. it looked like i murdered someone. |

That happened the last time I did my hair red. Then after that I went blue, and got splatters on the wall. It looked like I murdered smurfs.
I think I just need to cover my whole bathroom in plastic when I do it. |

may i ask how you keep your hair alive?
i basically chopped it all off because it was so dead from all the bleaching. |

I deep condition it constantly. I also only use a 30 volume developer and let it sit a bit longer. 40 will fry anyone's hair, but that's usually what people use.
I also use dry shampoo a lot, because washing it will make the color fade, and strip it of all it's natural oils, and totally dry it out. |

i used the forty and left it on forevaaa.
it's the only way my hair would get a nice red. it looked fantastic but felt disgusting. never again am i bleaching all my hair. |

If you use 30, leave it on for about an hour, or 30 minutes plus heat.. it still bleaches it without totally frying it. This time I only bleached the top 2/3rds of my hair, so the top will be lighter than the bottom.

I dyed my hair back in high school to try something new. Just the very act of doing that and how it turned out was enough of an embarrassment for me. It actually got me in a lot of trouble with the school as well.

I couldn't dye my hair when I was in school. It's probably why I do it now.

I had to sneak. And boy did I regret it.

I bleached my hair all the time throughout high school.
Blonde. Green. Blue. Orange. Combination of all of them. Black. Black and white. (Yes, white, left the bleach in so long it was white, not blonde) When I played football.. it was blue and blonde-ish. Our colors were blue and white, so.. I stopped bleaching my hair because of Eminem. I got sick of hearing, 'Oh look who's trying to be Eminem' When in my head, I'm thinking.. I was doing that shiz before he was famous. Wasn't like he invented hair bleach. >.> |

I was dying my hair (Red) the other day and my cat, being the lovable furry baby that she is jumped up in the back of my computer chair and brushed into the back of my head.
What's black and white and red all over?? My cat! |

I had the "Lions of the Serengeti" look for a while...it was inhuman. Red Tips then orange, then pale YELLOW then dark at the scalp. The chick who cuts my hair was like "WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO YOUR HAIR?" ...she yelled in her crowded shop and every one turned to look.
"Well, it started out with Rum and cokes and the just went downhill from there..." From now on...I am just sticking to dooky braids |
