Dear Superman,

I know you are strong enough to hump the earth into various pieces of mineral deposits if you have one too many metropolitans and a Viagra, but watching you just sit there on television tied to a chair with ordinary ropes makes me just scream all sorts of obscenities at you. Are you trying to make the other superheroes feel useful? Maybe sit this one out while Aqua-man finally does something besides make sure the Justice League toilet is properly flushing. Did those children in that burning school tape a kick me sign on your back after you rescued little jimmy from the top of the slide because he got stuck? Or maybe you are just dumb and forgot you had any powers. I can understand that, seriously I can. I do it all the time when I forget to juggle various food items when I am being held up in a liquor store. Only in hindsight do I think back and say, "Damn... I could have mesmerized him with my superior ability to toss fruits in the air. I... I might have prevented that theft of $37 and a pack of Stride gum. If only I could go back!!"
