Topic: Texans. Many Texan Politicians want No Voter ID. | |

IMO, if a politicians is against voter ID, he could be suspect in overlooking or even participating in voter fraud.
I'll probably get blocked from his facebook, but, not before folks are aware of the truth. Here's what one answer I got to the Voter ID question. Lloyd Doggett US Congress https://www.facebook.com/?sfrm=1#!/LloydDoggettTX?sk=wall This is an outrageous and cynical effort to suppress voting. I have previously voted against a similar proposal in Congress. Whether it is a senior unable to locate her birth certificate for purposes of establishing her U.S. citizenship on... election day or a college student whose school-issued identification is not among the IDs deemed acceptable for voting or a disabled veteran whose local polling place has not yet been made accessible, we should be striving to make it easier to vote, not more difficult. |

I don't get this, I really don't.
I have the little card thingie, but on a couple of occassions they've happily used my driver's license. Why do we need a whole other card, why not just use the driver's license?! |

I think voter ID cards are waste paper and time. |

Actually, it's an ID they don't want them to have to show.
Not a voter ID card. I have a voter ID card. It was issued when I registered. I don't have to use it. I just tell them what my name is and they look me up on the record. I sign it and go. I want them to ask for all of our drivers license or ID card, if I don't drive. People should show some sort of valid ID. |

I always have to show my voter id and DL.

I always have to show my voter id and DL. Here in Texas, they don't have to and are fighting against it. I know of 2 politicians. One is posted here and Bustamante who is running for congress. |

I always have to show my voter id and DL. Yeah, for me it's one or the other here. The driver's license is a plus with the picture part, but small town, and someone can verify who I am! LOL! |

If they don't have to show anything and the system ain't broke then there is no need to fix it. |

That's where all the voter fraud comes to play.
Voting from different addresses, Illegals voting, dead folks voting, etc. That's why NAACP and La Raza don't want the Show your ID to Vote Law. |

I am for it.
I see no reason why anyone would have a problem with showing ID to vote. I wouldn't even mind if we had to fingerprint next to our signature when we sign in to vote. |

From what I've read is Doggett is basically done in Congress with the new re-districting they said it's unlikely he will be re-elected and is sueing.

Why do we need a whole other card, why not just use the driver's license?! not everyone has a drivers license and , similar to the arguments against gun control, people who are cheats can easily get very undetectable fakes,,, Ive worked at polling stations, we arent ID experts,, trust that,,, |
