Turning the Tide on the “Pro-Israel” Debate

The tide may have finally begun to turn in a drawn out battle over what entails legitimate criticism of Israel in U.S. politics, particularly within the Democratic Party. During the past several months, writers at the ThinkProgress blog hosted by the Democratic-allied Center for American Progress (CAP) have been diligently deconstructing the core talking points of “pro-Israel” hardliners in the United States in an effort to broaden discourse about U.S. Middle East policy and help prevent another misguided war (i.e. in Iran).

be careful here, you may go down in flames like Reverend Wright for trying to dissuade conflict by pointing out errors in such an untouchable nation,,,,

I find it very strange that it is easier to criticize America than it is to criticize Israel. That is, if I criticize America people don't jump down my throat and call me anti-American but if I criticize Israel people get all bent out of shape and start calling me Jew hater or anti-Semite.

I say that a bull sheeet stops hear and now. I will criticize anyone I damn well please. ITS SUPPOSED TO BE A FREE COUNTRY, SO I WILL ACT AS THOUGH IT IS.

Don't mind me, its getting late and I just had to take a cold bubble bath because my hot water heater shut down.

THOUGHT CRIMINAL!! Srsly, though, the self-proclaimed "Zionists" in this country do terrible damage to their cause by promoting entangling alliances in the middle east and meddling in their affairs. It's as silly as the "Anglophiles" who obsess over Americans' "Special Relationship" with Britain. On one hand the interventionists want to destroy the Arab nations chasing various boogiemen and on the other hand they want to "strengthen" Israel. It's a power-play typical of Imperialists of old.

The American "Zionists" should follow the lead of Netenyahu and let the Israelis deal with their own problems.

The bright side is that between the dollar crash and the collapse of the American Empire, relative sanity with eventually come about. (wars, unfortunately, are always going to happen because of politicians and dumb, gullible citizens/serfs)
