Powerful stuff and right out of Barry's own writings.
'I SURELY HOPE YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THIS MAN'S DREAMS AND AMBITIONS FOR YOU & YOURS AFTER YOU READ THIS!!! Coil of Rage When you've read to the end, come back and read this first paragraph again. A Coil of Rage The character of any man is defined by how he treats his mother as the years pass .... need I say more about this person below other than there is no character, no integrity but there is a ton of attitude and arrogance that defines his shallow past and hollow future ... I rest my case. I bought and read Obama's book, Audacity of Hope. It was difficult to read considering his attitude toward us and everything American. Let me add a phrase he used to describe his attitude toward whites. He harbors a "COIL OF RAGE". His words not mine. THIS IS OUR PRESIDENT -- HE'S RUNNING AGAIN, YOU KNOW! Is anyone out there awake? Everyone of voting age should read these two books by him: Don't buy them, just get them from the library. From Dreams From My Father: "I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites." From Dreams From My Father: "I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race." From Dreams From My Father: "There was something about her that made me wary, a little too sure of herself, maybe and white." From Dreams From My Father: "It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names." From Dreams From My Father: "I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa , that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself: the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela." And FINALLY ........... and most scary: From Audacity of Hope: "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction." If you have never forwarded an e-mail, now is the time to do so!!! We have someone with this mentality running our GREAT nation! Keep your eye on him and don't blink. I don't care whether you are a Democrat, a Republican, a Conservative or a liberal, be aware of the attitude and character of this sitting President. There is a reason there remains a gag order on his college thesis, it is thought to be highly inflammatory from a race perspective! Both his and Michelle's. ![]() |

the author obviously DIDNT read the book (Which I did and still have in my bookstand, but havent memorized), but aside from that,, here are the corrections
'when people who dont know me well, black or white, discover my background (and it is usually a discovery, for I ceased to advertise my mothers race at the age of twelve or thirteen, when I began to suspect I was ingratiating myself to whites), I see the split second adjustments they have to make, the search of my eyes for some tell-tale sign. They no longer know who I am.' THIS QUOTE "I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race." is not in either book. THIS QUOTE "There was something about her that made me wary, a little too sure of herself, maybe and white is also not in the book there is a quote about someone who was interviewing him for a job, not about his mother, the man wanted someone black to help him organize because he found his being white was a problem the actual quote is "He seemed committed to his work. Still, there was something about him that made me weary, a little too sure of himself maybe, And white- he'd said himself that that was a problem." THIS QUOTE "It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names." was also not about his mother, but instead about a biracial colleague in college named Joyce. he was taken by how she talked so proudly of her biracial italian/black ancestry but always seemd to gloat about the italian part while ignoring the black part. In the book ,it was a difficult time where he felt pressure to pick sides and the quote is "But this strategy alone couldn't provide the distance I wanted, from Joyce or my past. After all, there were thousands of so-called campus radicals, most of them white and tenured and happily tolerant. No, it remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names. " THIS QUOTE ""I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa , that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself: the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela." is also incorrect THIS IS THE QUOTE: "Yes, Id seen weakness in other men -- Gramps and his disappointments, Lolo (my adoptive father) and his compromise. But these men had become object lessons for me, men I might love but never emulate, white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa , that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself: the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela." The end of the passage is "To think that all my life I had been wrestling with nothing more than a ghost' THIS QUOTE: "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction." is also incorrect, there is no mention of 'muslims'. The passage is instead about arab and pakistani AMERICANS The Quote is: "they need specific reassurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese interments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction." I hope people are researching and verifying the information in these chain emails before forwarding them along. There is already too much misinformation on the internet. |

Which might be a fair question – if there had been a thesis at all. But there wasn't. A Columbia University spokesman told PolitiFact that "an undergraduate thesis requirement for those in political science did not even exist at Columbia in 1983." In other words, Obama couldn't have written a thesis because no Columbia political science student in his era did. Yet the conviction that a thesis is out there has driven critics to search everywhere for it.
