Topic: Rick Santorum: States Should Have Power To Ban Birth Control | |
---|---|
He clarified his remarks yesterday. He said that he felt states should have the right to ban contraception, but was not advocating that they should. This is why republicans look like fools. These idiot candidates play to the moralist voters and make outlandish statements that no one agrees with except a very small minority of fundamentalists. Santorum is a clown. He is a big spending, pork barrel loving, statist. His foreign policy positions are ridiculous and anyone that votes for him needs their head examined. I think he said the same about the sodomy issue. I guess he's just trying to cover all his bases by making the extreme religious right happy at the thought of these things being banned? That is exactly what he is doing.. |

This should be enough to make most people realize just who he is in it for.... on top of his predjudice, thinking everyone should live by catholisism and just his "wierdness" in general (sleeping with a KNOWN dead fetus.. ) http://www.citizensforethics.org/index.php/press/entry/crew-releases-second-annual-most-corrupt-members-of-congress-report/ Yup, it shows he is for states rights. Nothing wrong with that. |

Nothing wrong with that. And you'd be ok with states banning things such as birth control and sodomy? I think it has much more to do with his religious beliefs than anything else. Or those beliefs of who he may be able to get votes from. |

“Santorum represents, in my view, much of what is wrong the in the Republican Party. While I disagree with him on some fundamental issues, I am much more concerned with his lack of character.” And then there is this little known tidbit: “I’m a pretty tolerant guy, but beyond his ideology, some of Santorum’s behavior is just a little bizarre. For example, Santorum has six children. In 1996, he had son born prematurely who lived for only two hours. He and wife brought the child home and introduced the dead infant to the rest of their children as ‘your brother Gabriel’ and slept with the body overnight.” http://radio.foxnews.com/2009/08/13/rick-santorum-took-dead-baby-home-to-meet-family/ What a Guy..,He wants to boom the hell out of Iran if he becomes our next president "Killer" but he's against abortion no matter what the woman's health or reasons are. You have to wonder about this man. |

To InSanatorm, if your skin is brown you're a problem/drain on society. He'll bomb Iran, double the debt, impose his beliefs by law or presidential order, and to H3LL with the rest of us sinners who don't agree with him!
He's like the nerd who got bullied at school..... and he's gonna make EVERYONE pay! |

You have to wonder about this man. Upon their son's death, Rick and Karen Santorum opted not to bring his body to a funeral home. Instead, they bundled him in a blanket and drove him to Karen's parents' home in Pittsburgh. There, they spent several hours kissing and cuddling Gabriel with his three siblings, ages 6, 4 and 1 1/2. They took photos, sang lullabies in his ear and held a private Mass. |

Heres what Santorum would do if he became president,he would have a nationwide intercom system that in the morning would wake people up with "MY GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD" song after it was over he would start reading from the New Testament for an hour.If i wanted this i'd move to the middle east.

The former Pennsylvania Senator and presidential aspirant is best known for his inability to associate his professed compassion for life at the level of the zygote, with the physical realities of human sexuality. He has equated loving same-sex relationships to bestiality. He is opposed to abortion under any circumstance. Almost. In October, 1996, his wife Karen had a second trimester abortion. They don’t like to describe it that way. In his 2004 interview with Terry Gross, Santorum characterizes the fetus, who must be treated as an autonomous person, as a practically a gunslinging threat, whom the mother must murder in self-defense. Karen has had to justify her decision to save her own life by explaining that if she died her other children would have lost a mother. Republican extremists in Congress and the statehouses propose to make abortion illegal even if it would save the mother’s life. Even the Santorums admit they would make that choice, while claiming that they didn’t. Losing a pregnancy because of a fatal fetal anomaly is never cause for celebration. The pain of second-trimester abortions is compounded by the hateful hypocrites who vilify families facing sorrowful circumstances, and the resulting scarcity of abortion clinicians. It is revolting that Rick and Karen Santorum choose to stigmatize and harass those of us who, as they did, grieve over the loss of a possible child in the second trimester. ***see the rest of the article at the link above.*** |
