Topic: Save me please...! | |
---|---|
Decided to start working on my new years resolution early and ask for help. I'm typically a good writer but I just can't seem to come up with a profile that catches attention (in a good way!). Is there anyone (or large groups of people) that can come to my aid and help me rescue my profile? All positive suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

Hello and welcome to mingle. I read your profile and you have a great amount of detail of what you would like. I did not see very much about you and what you enjoy. I would write a little more about you as well. Good luck in your search!

Honestly....IMO, most people have the attention span of a gnat when reading profiles...so I would shorten and separate my paragraphs - I struggled to read it all the way through and it’s not overly long!
I also think that clarity goes a long way, so be clear (and concise) in what you want to say about yourself as well about the person that you are hoping to meet. Good luck! |

Okay,
#1) I get screamed at constantly that I DO NOT have a few extra pound but we are in CA so I feel like I do. YOU DO NOT, IF THAT PICTURE IS ACCURATE. #2) You love to do physical things, I think you should put something about that in your title. A lot of guys are looking for a woman who loves to do physical stuff. I have more fun playing b-ball with friends. Do not down play that. If anything, PLAY IT UP. There are so many awesome athletic guys on here looking for a woman who can keep up. Express that you can. Say all the activities you can do. I tell men I am not a 70s tampon ad. I do not hike, bike, swim, ski, horseback ride and camp. BUT IF YOU DO IT, SAY YOU DO IT. There are so many guys who want that. |

Profiles are a sales pitch not a morality lecture. If a guy gets past the Afterlife thing and thinks you are cute, which I can't imagine they wouldn't. they might question the few extra pounds stuff as either out of date photo BS or some kind of body dismorphic disorder. Previous advice to be clear and consize is probably good.
