Re reading Stephen King's The Shining before I read King's newest book Doctor Sleep which is his sequel to The Shining. I didn't know there was a sequel. Interesting. Wonder if it's as good as the Shining. I read the book before I saw the movie. Totally freaked me out, haha, but loved it! And so much better than the (original) movie! Reading about psychological projection mechanism (based on Jung) |

Re reading Stephen King's The Shining before I read King's newest book Doctor Sleep which is his sequel to The Shining. I didn't know there was a sequel. Interesting. Wonder if it's as good as the Shining. I read the book before I saw the movie. Totally freaked me out, haha, but loved it! And so much better than the (original) movie! Reading about psychological projection mechanism (based on Jung) It's his newest book. It's getting a lot of praise. I love the original film version of The Shining, but as its own standalone movie, as an adaption it's not good, but as a horror film, it's excellent. |
