Ron Paul is surging in the polls and that means he’s going to be hit with a freight train full of baggage from the past and a whole lot of new stuff from the present. But this is something that Ron Paul didn’t need right now given his past with racist newsletters and the current endorsement from the Ku Klux Klan.

On Tuesday, during an appearance on The Young Turks on Current TV, Don Black, the founder of the white supremacist group known as Stormfront, endorsed Ron Paul and claimed that their views coincide with Paul’s. Black tried to exonerate Paul of the racism charges that have plagued his political career but he fell short of being convincing.

“He’s clearly not a white nationalist, he does not have the same worldview we do. But we agree with his stand on the issues, which we believe are heartfelt, coincide with ours. I might prefer that he understand the racial issues that we deal with a little more than he does. We believe that white people in this country and all European countries, Australia, Canada are facing a form of genocide through assimilation.”

The problem with Black’s claim is that Ron Paul once defended his racist newsletters and former aides have regaled the media with stories of Paul’s homophobia, racism, and anti-Semitism. Paul reportedly once refused to use a gay man’s bathroom and is against the existence of Israel. And no matter how hard Ron Paul tried to run from those racist newsletters, his name is still on them and being endorsed by two white supremacist groups isn’t helping Paul’s image one bit.

You know if you spent even .25 of the time making good posts about the candidate you endorse instead of rabidly searching the net for dirt on RP, people might care about your opinion and give you a little credibility. I have yet to post anything negative about either of your picks. Believe me, you know as well as me that there is FAR more dirt on your candidates and they are on National News sites..........not a blog or little 500 hit a day sites.

"Ron Paul is surging in the polls and that means he’s going to be hit with a freight train full of baggage from the past and a whole lot of new stuff from the present." Ok you quoted it, so tell me what do you personally think that will be?

FREEDOM AND EQUAL RIGHTS IS A MESSAGE FOR ALL! LIKE IT OR NOT!

Some have their own definitions, all have a vote for somebody for those reasons.

Seems to me you are the real racist here trying to deny a certain class or group of people their rights.

Because a communist in China makes 70% of all you buy and use EVERY DAY, are you going to quit using them now? Good luck with that!

One thing you might want to consider..... there is still a lot of segregation in the southern states (again, like it or not) so do we discount their votes, shun their republicrat leaders?

Like the Grinch....some people just don't engage their brain before speaking..... just sayin

Ummmmmmmm, I don't endorse ANY candidate. I have said I like Perry and Newt and support any Republican candidate other then Mitt Romney and Ron Paul.

Personally I don't care what people(I will never meet) think about my posts on here or don't care what people think about my opinions since they are MINE. I am simply doing the same thing the same few Paulbots who flood the internet forums are doing except I am not worshipping the guy in my posts, I am posting facts, fears and concerns that the MAJORITY of American people feel and believe about Ron Paul. It's not the polished version the Paulbots flood the internet with.

But let me get this straight, if I keep posting reasons why I and most of Americans don't like or support Ron Paul im a troll but when Paulbots flood the forums with their Paul worship they arn't? A little bit of a double standard there.........laugh

So, you oppose others rights to support their candidate with posts, you flood their threads, deride THEIR opinions, post hit pieces to bait responses and just cause mayhem in general.....but YOU are in the right?

I can see why you would think the Grinch is a good candidate. You share the same moral values!

Honestly guys, it's a bit obnoxious how many Ron Paul threads have been created, and are still being created. You have the right to endorse and discuss your candidate, but it is obvious that you are using Mingle to simply drum up support for Ron Paul. I mean, why else would there be a new Ron Paul thread everyday? Each thread is simply a new attempt to grab people's attention.

Personally, I wouldn't care, nor would I say anything, if it was only one, two, or even three threads. Seriously, I wouldn't. But this is getting just like all the 9/11 threads. God, how I wished that topic would die! I mean, the agenda was obvious, which is exactly why people wouldn't let it rest: they wanted to convince us all of the "truth".

In any case, I don't blame you for wanting to gain support for the candidate you believe in, but could you please tone it down a notch?

I checked the threads because sometimes someone brings up something of interest to me. I've even backed out of posting in the threads for the most part. But it sure would be easier to keep track of the discussion and the posts if I didn't have to search 18 different thread topics.

Noted, and not unreasonable or biased in any way drinker

Often I, for one, will post within an existing thread, but this is an election year, this is a political forum, and for the time being it is still a somewhat free country.

The news changes daily, as do the posts. Many are concerned for the outcomes of the coming election THIS year more than any other!

For some it's sports, some it's sex, others it's poetry or recipes...

This is a political forum as stated. Nobody is forced to read anything but a header, the choice to enter is their own, as is commenting to the post.

There are those who flood the RP threads, bait those who support him out of sheer spite, then flood the forum with yet more.....content.

RP is a hot ticket item this election....NO DOUBT! There is respect and hatred for him EVERYWHERE, not just here, so there are also many opinions AND topics which arise.

While I respect your views, it seems a little bold to ask that RP not be a part, if not a large part, of this forum due to the nature of the coming elections and the need for citizens of the USA to be as informed, thru debating the issues, as possible in hopes of making the RIGHT choice for a leader of this great nation!

ANY can post support or threads in support of their candidate, many do, that is the nature of a forum.

So, for my part, as I try to do, I will endeavor to keep my topics fresh, informative, and open to debate, and simply hope that nobody is offended by my right to do so, and I will respect their rights equally.

If they are indeed endorsing him,he ought to at least reject their endorsement!
Some things have a way to come back later and bite your Patoot!

He has often said their opions do NOT coincide with his own, but this is the USA where people have a right to vote for whom they choose, and RP's forum is personal freedom and choice.... who doesn't want that?

And if they were backing Owe-Bummer (never happen of course).... what then? Or Rummy? The Grinch?

They have a right to vote as well, even tho I, or RP, may not agree with their principles!

Have we forgotten about equal rights? Freedom of choice? Seems so....

To deny them support or a vote, does that make one any better than them?

I agree with this too.

I cant grasp why people feel a need to hear others 'reject' the support of someone on one issue because they disagree with them on others....

its a strange all or nothing world we are becoming,,,,

even a broken clock is right twice a day..lol

If I ran and someone controversial supported my run, ID just have to point that out and suggest that they got one right,,,lol
