Topic: Obama Breaks New Record | |
---|---|
I was listening to the news tonight and he has broken the record of the amount of golf games out of any US President. He is at 90 games in the past three years. That is crazy.
28 games his first year as President, which broke the record for that year of the most a President golfed in a year. That was broke then next year with 30 rounds and he broke it again this year with 32 rounds so far, the years not over yet! I am a big golfer myself but that is just ludacris. |

The other thing that makes me think is the average golf game on a crowded golf course is less then four hours, and less then two hours on an empty course. Obama's golf games are on average over 5 1/2 hours each and I don't think the courses are two crowded being they are on military bases. It's an exicuse for Obama to not have to work or get away from his wife. The old saying is the longer your married the longer your golf game is. |

Nope, even the president deserves private time and time to relax, however much he has to do He doesnt spend 'all' his time on a golf course, there is no reason for me to believe he does, considering the nature of his job, the amount of travel he has to do, and the amount of time he spends 'meeting' and 'negotiating' within his governmental duties so Im not gonna gripe if on his 'off' time, which EVERY president has, he chooses to golf,,,thats his perogative we get our weekends off in this country (most of us), and the higher stress a job is, the more I think it makes sense to give people their time off,,,, |

I can fault Owe-Bummer for many things far more important than how often he golfs! Posts like this are simply undisaplined, unrational, point evasion issues to the real problems we face! |

IMHO, If all the freaking Law Makers would spend most of their time on the golf course or at home with their Consituents, our lives would be mega-freer. |

This would be a blasé bit of news if 90 weren’t such a nice, round number, but, as it is, this represents a record of sorts. Not only did Barack Obama golf on Christmas day, but he hit the links yesterday, too — and that round marked the 90th of his presidency. As Keith Koffler of WhiteHouseDossier.com points out, the time he’s spent on a golf course — about four to five hours a round — is the equivalent of three full months.
It’s not just that his perpetual self-indulgence signifies that “kind of laziness” the president himself admits plagues him deep down. It’s also that this particular indulgence required an exceptional sacrifice from the military men and women who had to accommodate his desire to golf at the Marine Corps base. Melissa Clouthier breaks it down, including a few particularly devastating comments from wives of Marines: Well, the big deal is that a bunch of Marines had to work–blocking roads and doing other miscellaneous security detail–instead of being home with their families. Here are some of the comments from the wives of these men. (I am not going to include the link to this page, nor am I going to include names, because I don’t want anyone in trouble. I do, however, have the screen shot and have copy and pasted the comments verbatim.) … “Because he’s here, I didn’t get to see my husband all weekend, on our baby girl’s first Christmas, so he can have his vacation. So when I can’t get to my house because he wants to play golf it just adds insult to injury and yeah, gets on my nerves. I agree that it’s a sensitive subject for some of us who are more [a]ffected by his being here.” … I was so angry! They blocked off my driveway… -_-” “It takes him forever to play too because he isn’t good at it either lol!” She dubs him “President Selfish,” and I think that moniker is more than appropriate. http://hotair.com/archives/2011/12/27/obligatory-obama-plays-90th-round-of-golf-in-hawaii/ |

Because we're not killing our soldiers fast enough for you? War is what you want, right? You've stated as much MANY times before! Chicken hawks are a dangerous breed of bird! |

Chicken hawks are a dangerous breed of bird! *Sigh* war is not what I want but sometimes it is necessary and if Ron Paul had a REAL position when he was in the military he would know that too. Iran wants a Nuclear Weapon for one reason and one reason only and they have stated it, they want to USE IT. Do you realise what would happen if Iran did use a nuclear weapon? Have you ever heard the term Mutually Assured Distruction? That is the policy Israel and EVERY other Middle Eastern county has in place and that part of the world would become a barren waste land. We would lose a large amount of our income and oil which could cripple our economy, lose close allies and MILLIONS sick, dead or affected. |

Spending only an afternoon playing a round is a whole bunch less than the 24 hours 'normal' people have for that day off. Then, that's not assuming that WHILE he's playing he's not also working. Whether is be occasional phone calls or for that matter, playing with advisors, other political heads, etc. It's not like he has a 'typical' 9-5 40 hour work week like most people..... |
