About a month a go I hita show featuring friends from a local metal band (Negative 263)
Brought some buddies up 5 hours from San Antonio. Before the show we decide to buy a round for the house and were immedieately cut off from the bar cause apparently...no one ever buys a ound for the house. Ok...no biggie. The band starts playing and my friends get on the floor to dance and security stops them. "No dancing allowed cause thier insurance won't over it"?????? (incredulous would mildly describe everyones reation) Some other dude thought they were kidding and ended up being dragged off the dance floor in a chokehold by security.(for dancing) I posted a note on the bars facebook page the next day just saying that if they were gonna have music but no dancing they might rethink thier policy. They deleted my post and sent me a message saying I was too old for thier club but, if they ever have a Fabio look alike contest they want me there. No offence. LOL Just what I need...getting dismissed by some punk @$$ed 20 something prick making minimum wage at a lame club. Obviously, we ain't wasting our time or money at The Lucky Mule anymore. |

Trixter/Firehouse/Warrant. Weird because I was there!!! However, I did sorta meet Firehouse (on not so good terms). My gf at the time had a thing for one of the dudes from Trixter and had me follow their bus back to their hotel. Turned out to be the wrong bus and as Firehouse was getting off my ex gf started screaming at them and saying that they suck and aren't Trixter........ Good times........

Gwar. (You can only imagine.)
Genitorturers was pretty I'm not sure the adjective. Ministry. (While Bush was still in office and it was extremely political based. I was uncomfortable.) |

I wanted to go see GWAR but I had just started a new job and worked nights. I always miss the good stuff, and my friend would rub it in by always showing his shoes that were stained in blood. |

They weren't trying to hide or anything. She just had me follow the wrong bus. They weren't local bands either. Actually, they were fairly popular among chicks then (late 80's/early 90's). |

I was at Live Aid in Philly and got creeped out by the audience, so creeped I missed most of the Clashs' set

I will echo GWAR as mentioned up above as definitely a weird one to attend. But I have seen some strange stuff as well at Skinny Puppy, Ghost, Protest The Hero, Slayer, and probably several others I have forgotten.
Also seeing Ryan Adams when he goes crazy is always interesting. |
