For staying in shape, what do you think is the best exercise for you?

I walk.

I have worked myself up to 3-4 miles every other day or at least three times a week. I don't hold myself to a regiment because it will make me lose interest so I do it when I want to. It takes me a long time because of the MS. I spend two hours or more at it when I do it. But it is working well for my health so I am enjoying the benefits.

This guy knows !
Strengh training at the same time you are doing cardio will rip you up !
I run 6 klm's before work and hit the gym for an hour or 2 after. If you are not getting results using this method you just are not trying hard enough! smokin
Diet is also important. Everyone always focuses on carbs and fats when they are dieting but overlook the importance sugar plays in weightloss and fitness. Simple sugars are found in most foods and will seriously limit any weight loss attempts!!
Livestrong !!

Lift Weights. Alternate set - multi-set circuits. Every muscle group.
These guys are right. Especially legs.

Working out feels great and is good for us. Our bodies are machines
made for vigorous exercise as well as mental gymnastics.

To me physical condition (or lack of in my case) is nothing more than mind over matter. I don't mind so it doesn't matter.

I am a trainer at a gym and i always tell people to enjoy excerise, if you dont enjoy it you will not stick to it and the most important part of any excerise is the longevity. you cant work out for two months than not for years, so find something you like and stick with it. excerise does get boring so hopefully you are in an area that can offer a range of excerises or classes. Good luck and have fun.

People have teased me over the years for doing belly dancing, the whole Carmen Electra Strip Tease Aerobics and Lap Dance series, etc. I mix it up. I always have. When I was young, I have a male (straight) aerobics instructor and often I went left instead of right, etc. And I was his favorite because I had the most fun and was enjoying myself. It wasn't work to me. Right now, my thing is walking, shooting hoops, and yoga. It changes constantly.

Those people were dumb for teasing you. You only have to look at the Zumba craze happening at the moment to see the benefits dance can have in a fitness routine. Good on ya for having the courage to give it a go and set the trend ;)

best for what??

anything is better than doing nothing.
if you don't like to go to gym or haven't any scope then take some free-hand or yoga or just turn on music and start dancing!

I believe in doing impact exercises

like jogging several times a week..and have made it a lifetime habit.

Impact exercises also help to strengthen the bones ...very

important for later in life ......

nothing else I know quite rejuvenates the whole body like jogging does......

I am back into strip and lap dance aerobics and belly dancing now that I have someone to entertain again. Also when I do massages, I sweat a ton and burn a ton of calories and it's great because you get a positive energy exchange.

I have to say though I cannot watch anyone do a "Shaker Weight" without picturing a guy masturbating and busting up laughing.
