Martin, you are a very sweet guy with a sensitive soul. The people here are pretty awesome. But everybody may have an off day, we are all human after all, and be mad, sad or just bummed out. Please try not to take it too personally. There are some here that will question you and point things out, trying to help. You must be able to accept this and use it or not. I got my feelings hurt a couple of times at first, but I think I understand much better now.

As to the e-mails you send, some will respond some won't. No way to tell, but don't get discouraged. I listen to people here and on another site and online dating is rather brutal.

Just be who you are, not everyone will like you and that's OK. So many people do, and there are more to come.

Anyone who sends out emails on here first has experienced not getting some replies. It happens to us all. You just have to be able to move on and contact other people.

The forums are a bit different. There are all different kinds of people here to interact with. That's the best part. You just have to learn not to take things personally, as most of the time it isn't personal.

Sorry if it seems like i'm just babbling on, lol. I don't understand how i got better at commmunicating as i got older. It must have been happening gradually. I think I've just been glad to meet new people. People who've only just met me, are always surprised by my positivity. I think it's because like the norm, they're not used to being around anyone that happy. Well, life can make you realise things, but only after you've been through those things. I realised being depressed or unsociable was not gonna do anything for me. In all honesty, when i broke up with my first ever boyfriend, i was quite rude, and became ignorant. I was a very dark person. I think a break-up does that to ANYONE. Some people just hide it better. However, i took myself off to see a shrink. She gave me the self-confidence i needed. I was careful to not take too much grandeurish advice though, as sometimes, they say anything, just to make you feel empowered. Sometimes i'd think the shrink was becoming disillusioned with SOME advice tips she gave. She made me see that i could still be whoever i wanted to be. I didn't HAVE TO mope around. So i chose not to.
