Just today i had some dude near me basically end the conversation right after i admitted this. Would you still date someone you were into if they didn't have a car?

Not having a car is a huge plus in my book! Assuming she is a biker, walker, or public transit person.

(If she just sits at home or begs people to drive her places, thats lame.)

But girls who bicycle are hot!

I ride my sister's bike to the beach a lot and I also have my own set of wheels. I like it better, especially in this weather LA is currently experiencing.

Oh yeah, PUH-PUH PLEASE pick me up???!!flowerforyou

Does it make a difference whether or not it has a seat?

If that same guy informed you that he only dated women who were had their own car - would you not find him shallow!? :P Wouldn't you be upset if you genuinely found yourself liking this guy a lot... only to find him quoting a list of expectations before treating you like a human being! Wouldn't you find that ANNOYING!??? :P

Yeah I would. I try not to be around those types as much as I can. Nothing I can do about it though. Not upset but like ehh, whatever. The guy's not for me, you know? Haha, to be honest I'd rather have the controlling list of expectations before to save all the time I spent getting to know him.

I wouldnt be offended, because I would look for the same thing. IF he is a single parent, I would understand completely.

Nice! I've lived in that area before. I was hoping it was the western end of west LA, because riding your bike to the beach from most other parts of LA is really not fun.

Santa Monica is great. I love the new library they put in... was it 4 or 5 years ago?

LOL its really not. Quite a scavenge. Its decent. The Pier has turned into a mini Disneyland now I don't really go to it. But I love checking out the docks at the ends and just sitting down, closing my eyes and wait for the sunset.

I haven't had a chance to check out anything new in SM lately. I'm guessing that's right. laugh

I used to work for a MAJOR bicycle company with AN ACTUAL RACING TEAM. Many of the hot guys I worked with were into the environment and didn't have cars or if they did, didn't use them much.

You would be missing out on a lot of really cool athletes if you just instantly said no to every guy with no car. They are not all poor with no jobs. Some of them, it's a principal thing.

It does make it harder to go through drive-thrus without a car.

I suppose it really boils down to where you live and the things you do.

I live where everything is spread out in all directions. Without a car...you are screwed. In town...it is doable I guess...we have a moderate bus system and a few cabs.

But, you ever try to take a bike to the airport with your luggage or go pick up a couch?

I've dated carless chicks before and would again. It makes it harder for them to escape! pitchfork

For this very same reason I only date the true descendants of Helen Keller.

- They MAY try to run away, but they don't get farther than the wall on the opposite side.

- They can't tell their mother.

- There is nothing to tell.

- They can't see me. (BIG bonus.)

- They can't hear me. (Surefire deal maker.)

- They can't catch me. (Oh boy. Gets better and better.)

- they don't fill the air with idle chatter. They fill it with "arrghhhccchhh... mophrkdinrrrK??? Juvhannngramphlakds."

Oh. We're talking serious now.

1. Bike has finally put an end to my seemingly endless gaining weight.

2. Bike has finally allowed me to make my ends meet. (No, get your minds out of the gutter.) Car insurance, purchase price, gas, maintenance, BJs, (which are impossible when you go "cruisin'" on foot or on the bike), are expenses to which I can say "good-bye".

3. I take the occasional taxi and I do rent a car for each house move.

4. Overall my health has stabilized, my weight too, though I can't seem to be able to lose, my IQ increased about 45-60 points on a good day, find more useful garbage by the curb, find bills and gold rings, diamond tiaras and life insurance policies.

5. My carbon footprint shrank.

6. God loves me more now.

7. Sex has become better, more frequent, with more imaginary partners than before

8. Can't complain

9. I look like a hero at twenty below weather, pushing the pedals in the dark of the 7pm midnight sun, in my gear, and the

You are not kidding.

Once I lined up at a McDonalds with my bicycle. The hand-out wicket was open, but it was early in the morning on a Sunday, and the restaurant was still closed.

The girl refused to serve me. Or service me, too, as I later found out after a heated exchange of words.

Bicycles are second-class citizen vehicles. Bicyclists do NOT get served by Big Mac.

So much for corporate dedication to a greener earth.

Wow. You must be living somewhere quite high maintenance if you find crystal tiara's in trash. laugh I always imagine that type of thing to be found in Paris Hilton's waste disposal. You can only imagine:
Me: So Paris, what did YOU get for christmas?
Paris Hilton: I only got a horse. That's all i got
Me: *trying not to look jealous* Oh. Yeah. Not much at ALL really.
