According to sources in the Defense Ministry, Russian 102nd military base in Armenia was fully optimized during October-November 2011.

Military families were evacuated to Russia; Russian garrison stationed near Yerevan was reduced in size; military units stationed there were transferred to the district of Gyumri, close to the Turkish border. U.S. strikes on the targets in Iran are expected from Turkey’s territory.

Since December 1, 2011 Russian forces at military bases in South Ossetia and Abkhazia’ have been put on high alert combat readiness; and Black Sea Fleet ships now cruise near the border with Georgia, which in this conflict may take the side of anti-Iranian forces.

Sounds to me that Putin is looking for an excuse to launch a full scale invasion of Georgia.

Ironically, his rise to stardom began with the second war in Chechnya. It worked then, why not now?

Can't see it happening myself.

If it does then Obama is in League with his paymasters.

If that would happen it would occur during a second term..

He wouldn't dare pull that before the next election..

Putin is in serious trouble. He has two options. Crackdown on his own people and become Lukashenko without the mustache or blow up a few buildings in Moscow and blame in on someone else..

Neither would come as a surprise to me.

There is a clause about elections during time of war.....

I posted it in an earlier thread saying that with the new detention act, and a war.....

King Barry wants to be dictator. Bush and Cheney I'm sure are jealous!

A congressionaly declared war would stop elections. But, just in case, we are about to get the new dentention act which means a war doesn't need to be declared to detain ANYONE, but it wouldn't stop the election. The public in general tho will NOT change a leader during times of crisis....

I think we are being HAD! BIG TIME!

The United States presidential election of 1940 was fought in the shadow of World War II (in Europe) as the United States was emerging from the Great Depression. Incumbent President Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR), a Democrat, broke with tradition and ran for a third term, which became a major issue. The surprise Republican candidate was maverick businessman Wendell Willkie, a dark horse who crusaded against Roosevelt's perceived failure to end the Depression and his supposed eagerness for war. Roosevelt, acutely aware of strong isolationist sentiment in the U.S., promised there would be no involvement in foreign wars if he were re-elected. Willkie conducted an energetic campaign and managed to revive Republican strength in areas of the Midwest and Northeast. However, Roosevelt won a comfortable victory by building strong support from labor unions, big-city political machines, ethnic voters, and the traditionally Democratic Solid South.

The subsequent passing of the 22nd Amendment of the United States Constitution in 1947 renders this election the only occasion in American history in which a candidate was elected to an unprecedented third term as president (Roosevelt was elected to a fourth term in 1944, but he died less than four months after his inauguration).

Think Iraq...... now Iran? North Korea?

It's strange King Barry and his cronies aren't so worried about the GOP threat......

Even you do not believe that Iran would use Nuclear if they had Nuclear.

Iran has more influence in Iraq than before the Invasion and that's without Nuclear.

Iran will be the major force in the ME

Israel is destroying itself

The hell I dont. The moment they have an equipped nuclear weapon it will be launched and they have stated that they will wipe Israel off the map.
