 Not at all! you made it a point of topic by previous opinions you have shared. Previous opinions I shared on other threads...This thread is about Ron Paul's racist, anti-gay, anti-Israel POLITICAL newsletters that he got handsomely paid to publish, not conspiracy theories.... The assertion that "some articles were written in a newsletter edited (not written by) RP that are not attributed to him some 20-30 years ago, therefore RP is a racist" is in fact nothing more a whacko, pseudo-right wing conspiracy theory rooted in desperation to discredit RP. No different than the wildly absurd claims of "anti-semitism" which have been debunked numerous times, including the program "Reality Check". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zGCdHelRvE&feature=player_embedded If your name was THE TITLE of 20 years worth of POLITICAL newsletters for which you were being paid and the contributors wrote and published anti-Israel, anti-gay, and racist slurs and presented the slurs as your view(s), referencing your name repeatedly, would just turn a blind eye to it or would you out those IF what they were printing was false.....OR.... would you just claim you were not aware of the content of the newsletters or the authors? It doesn't matter at this point in time. The burden of proof is on the ones making a positive claim. You can say whatever you want, but that won't make it true. Plenty of newsletters named after individuals use other authors and ghostwriters for columns. Many newspapers wouldn't have much content at all if it weren't for anonymous AP writers. If something false or offensive gets printed, it's just an oversight in editing in most cases. Right now, it's just your word against his-and considering his very long track record of honesty and integrity, I trust him before you (unless you can prove your claim beyond reasonable doubt). Thats a stretch...I was hoping you would just answer my question HB..... You're presuming a lot with your loaded question, which is why I didn't answer it. You make claims about "anti-Israel, anti-gay, and racist slurs", but this is just hearsay. In the context of these particular newsletters, it's just an editing oversight. Remember, we're talking about 30+ years ago. Managing print media wasn't point-click work. Too funny! ... People expect this man to lead a country when he can't even control his own newsletter...Paul says he has no idea who wrote the racist remarks peppered throughout 20 years worth of newsletters...Newsletters with his name plastered all over them, listing him as the editor....Paul defends it by saying it is old news and doesn't need to be explained or discussed..... Those responsible for the racist remarks don't need to be identified....So much for transparency....
