so, perhaps physical preferences, although natural and expected, limit us when we make them into mandates we may miss out on what outwardly may not make the mark, but inwardly would be all we could wish for They definitely do. I have found guys that I thought were cute and after 10 minutes talking to them they suddenly become very unattractive. And, every man I have come to love, I came to find extremely attractive as my love for them grew. yup, this^ amen, even though the one guy who had me under his spell was gorgeous,,,lol most others I have loved have not fallen in that category physically but were gorgeous to me because of our relationship and our bond,,, |

But of course it's all subjective anyway |

My male partners have been pretty good looking really - except for one or two who were "friends," and a part of that is what is on the inside - one recent boyfriend was very, very good looking but it was what was on the inside of him that eventually made me say no...it's great to find that combination of looks and personality both in one man! But of course it's all subjective anyway Damn you get around alot. All my female partners were crazier than hell. I'm not sure if looks had anything to do with it...

Watching beauty and the beast with my toddler it occurs to me that 'beauty' signifies those physical things we are attracted to,,, so, perhaps physical preferences, although natural and expected, limit us when we make them into mandates we may miss out on what outwardly may not make the mark, but inwardly would be all we could wish for when getting to know people in real time, I try to discard those 'preferences' and see who is inside,,, you? I agree completely. Inner beauty trumps outer beauty hands down. |
