Sky... I am in the medical field. First thing wrong.. you went to the ER. The ER is like a playground for doctors who can't wait to do SOMETHING new. I recommend you find a primary physician... MD. Have him do a full panel of blood work. Then have him give you a referral to a specialist. Don't wait and ding around in a ER. Good luck to you.

Sky, I am not going to get into the privacy of your medical concerns on here for everyone to read. There are a few things I would be asking though if this were me.
First why they are sending you to a gast. specialist? Unless something is coming out in the labs or films.. I also wonder your symptoms to begin with. If you want to remain private feel free to email me. Just don't want to pry or tell the world what is going on unless you prefer. I would not worry about addiction to morphine. However, that in itself would concern me. Why are they giving such a strong drug for something they have no clue about yet? They can actually do more damage if the kidneys really are the concern. |

Ya, man. Avoid the ER. Ask about pain management from the specialist. Also make sure whatever records you have are shared with the GP and vice versa. Dont be under the influence during any exams or xrays. You need to be lucid for discussions re your condition. |

Hi. Just wondering why they didn't rule out a hernia. Or a digestive illness. Seeing as you were sent to a gastroenterologist. Sorry if it seems like i'm adding onto the list of X-rays here, but you might also wanna consider getting a Colonoscopy. Just to help rule out any ulcers or tumors. Not saying you definitely have any, just a suggestion as a precaution. I've been quite a one for getting a lot of x-rays in my time, so i can sympathise with how annoying it feels not knowing what's wrong. Get yourself some painkillers. Really strong ones. Try not to stress about it, as that can make the pain worse. Don't do anything too strenuous. i'll keep you in my prayers ;)

Turns out there going back to the gall badder that's what the nuclear bomb Ex ray test was for,by the way i didn't blow up lol the guy doing it said as long as i didn't sneeze we would be OK.This was a test to see if the gall bladder is even working, they put the nuclear stuff in the to see the liver and gall bladder then they give you some thing else to force the gall badder to go into action. No action then the gall bladder is not working and they take it out,I'm hoping this is the case and be done with it.

They get tons of people in there and some are trying to scam for drugs. Maybe they thought were you just trying to get high? |

If they 'put the nuclear stuff in' then you are probably talking about the use of radioactive isotopes for imaging. Relax man! They use these imaging techniques on people all the time - the risks are small and well known. 2nd hand smoke and freeway driving may be more worthy of fear than get some of that imaging done. |

Hi. Just wondering why they didn't rule out a hernia. Or a digestive illness. Seeing as you were sent to a gastroenterologist. I was thinking the same thing. I've seen people in crazy amounts of pain over a simple GI problem. |
