SO I HAVE A REALLY SILLY QUESTION, I HATE THUNDERSTORMS, TORNADOS ALL THAT CRAZY STUFF... ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO COPE WITH IT CAUSE SERIOUSLY IM LIKE UNDER MY BED, IN A BLANKET AND NOT COMING OUT TILL ITS DONE THATS HOW MUCH I DONT LIKE THEM.....

In a thunder storm believe it or not the safest place is in you car its not grounded.:wink:

you could always count the seconds between thunderstrikes and lightning.....the closer the storm the closer the seconds between.

Find a place as low to the ground as you can preferably below the the ground. bigsmile

An F5 came through Central Oklahoma 5 months after I moved here. It spawned 79 seperate tornados.

Oh my goodness wow, well now they are saying its just turning in to thunerstorms but it did blow down a oak tree on a guys house, I mean they usually dont get that bad here but I just freak out about things like that we call that PARONID.. I THINK

I remember that my grandparent were there. I lived in Poteau it Eastern the toronados would hit the mountain behined me and land in Fort Smith Ark.

I once thought Oklahomans were crazy. When the tornado sirens go off, they congregate outside to see if they can see it.... that is until I found myself out there with them.

lol.. being from Kentucky, it has been quite an experience for me as well! But I'm here to stay unless a tornado picks me up and plants me somewhere else.

When I first moved there the sierin went off I thought it was a fire or something every one was all calm and said itsjust a toronado.....laugh laugh laugh

We've had a few good thunderstorms here this year. A few tornados as well. One just west of me last week.
I've driven from Texas to Alberta and all over in between across the praries. Missed a few tornados by mere minutes and seen only two. I definately don't want to see another, at least not up close.
