Thanks for the input. I was feeling extremely frustrated this week, after going out the past weekend with a couple of friends. I have friends who I can hug and give a smooch on the cheek and it remain purely platonic, and others who definitely can't get a kiss, because they take it way overboard. Unfortunately, I forgot, and sure enough, he took it way out of what it was meant as. Had to put a stop to it the next day, which basically pissed me off, considering he knows already I have no interest in him in that way. it happens chick a roo - stress not ![]() classifications are as follows: 1. no kiss - defo n.o. 2. peck on the cheek (then back up slowly) 3. kiss (a real one - maybe more) 4. kiss - defo more 4b. who needs a kiss - let's go I think you forgot item # 2, perhaps - also on 1 & 2 a handshake can be substituted if you offer a guy a handshake & a thank you he pretty much knows where he stands (if he has half a brain) and I would take a handshake from a man to mean the same thing.... (just so I do not appear one sided here - heaven forbid) ![]() Oh, and this is compartmentalizing my man friends only - I don't kiss my female friends - just to be clear on that |

Everyone pretty much does that. You have something in common with one person you tend to take them. I would not take my friend Fred to Jo-Ann Fabrics for example.. he would grumble the entire time. So why offer? Same goes for Ballerina Barbie...she does not want to go drink beer and mud wrestle...why offer?

Do you find you have to compartmentalize your friends or family? Can't do certain things with one friend, that you can do with others? I dont consider it compartmenatalizing. I consider it being observant and aware of my family and friends, their strengths and weaknesses ,,as well as their likes and dislikes. |
