"Privatize your prisons and they will be forever full. Privatize your wars and they will be endless and many."

Another wasted warning. Another typical day at the office for the war plotters.

As if it's not bad enough that the vets, almost always the poor and working class, fight and die for the rich, Wall Street, immoral corporations and their bought politicians but now it's that they are doing so for a foreign country and an illegitimate racist apartheid state at that. Chosen cannon fodder for the 'chosen ones.' Mercenaries for hire and they come cheap for the monstrosity of Israel. Bribery, payoffs and blackmail are the tools of their trade so why not get the U.S. goys and girls to take care of the foreign slaughter so the Israelis can concentrate on their domestic land thievery and murder. The American people foot the bill and the deranged call it God's will. It's a sickness and a tragedy. We allow it to happen and pledge our allegiance to the myth that it is necessary.

At one time it was the forced draft. Now we have the forced economic 'volunteers.' Another travesty is the great number who joined out of 'patriotism' in the wake of the big lie of 9/11. The war on terror, the clash of civilizations, the contrived hatred of Muslims, all the result of the think tanks of depravity who propagandized the children to walk into the valley of the shadow of death without a real thought of their own. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, they get their own 'day' for being such good sleepwalkers.

Locally there will be a grand 'celebration' in the gym of the high school. Attendance is not optional. There will be bands and bagpipes, songs of 'service, testimonials and tales of the 'patriotic,' prayers lifted up to the perceived gods of war where we are the righteous and those we drone bomb are the sacrilegious. Displays of hummers, military vehicles, and Black Hawk Helicopters and some sort of Special Presentation called SPECTACULAR . Of course there will be the parasitic recruiters, lurking and smirking in the background, whistling the theme song to "Have Gun Will Travel' and ready to pounce upon the youth to fulfill their quotas. I look at the kid's parents and think, "why won't you just say no." Some do. Many don't.

I have been called anti-American and worse for saying these things. I've had people who have wanted to smash my face for daring to use the free speech that is one of the freedoms the vets supposedly died for. Show me one war, one skirmish, one invasion, one occupation since the creation of the Federal Reserve in 1913 that was not for the benefit of the money masters. Prove it with real unvarnished history and not the rewritten lore of the ' victors' and I'll shut up and go away.

One day I may celebrate Veterans Day. That would be when all the troops are home and all the lies exposed. When the death cultists have vanished from the pages of time and the truth of why it all happened is taught in the classrooms. When we have some semblance of hope that it will never happen again. I know, that's a dream but the reality is that all good things start as a dream that through perseverance manifests itself in the physical world. Till then, I'll just repeat myself again and again. There are no just wars. Never. Ever.

Thanks for wading through my standard Veterans Day rant. Yes, it's the same old, same old. But like I said, I just felt the need.

I support men and women who try to make a difference, I even commend them, regardless of what the actual motivation of their employer is

I respect veterans day as a recognition of and appreciation for those men and women, not for government policies

I dont necessarily 'celebrate' but I understand those who do

a very close loved one just left last week for Iraq after being fitted for body armor, to serve as medical personnel, to help the injured

this veterans day I will definitely be thinking of and praying for him

My sons friend a year ahead of him just got out of Marine boot camp, he is off for combat training.

I feel bad for him as he is too nice a kid to be involved in these criminal invasions and wars.
I can still see these kids as teens laying on my liveing room floor( playing Gears of War.

I cringe at the thought of the real horrors he will see.

His mon was single and when he graduated she moved to california to be with her new husband and he sorta did what he thought was best for his situation.

I was glad to see him after basic the boys hung around and ate all my food and played x box just like the good old days.

its a high stress job, I really feel there should be a probationary period longer than just boot camp.

The recruiters get these kids young and I dont know if they work on commission but it just seems their goal is to get the numbers at any cost and they dont focus enough on the real dangers, just on the benefits, which motivates many if not most young people to join. My first husband was actually told by his naval recruiter that all positions werent on boats and he would not have to go out to sea. The first part was true, the second part was a lie.

Its kind of like how media glamourizes sex without really covering the reality of the potential consequences. Recruiters glamourize 'service' without adequately covering the reality of the potential consequences.

having actually been a soldier i'll leave it to the lesser experienced of you to ramble on about such issues and simply enjoy the weekend's salute to veterans.

bestinshow, so now your son's friend has become a part of this government that you seem to despise so. does that make him a criminal too? afterall, nazis used the, "i was simply following orders" defense at neuremberg, no?

I am a war veteran, Viet Nam era.

Veterans Day is the ONE day I do honor.

Wars and the "reasons" for them are not the tribute. It is the rememberance of the sacrifice made by so many brave men, women and our children in them.

In battle it is not the "cause" or the "reason" that is basic, it is the person or persons around you, sharing the horror with you, and I will always respect and honor those brave souls!

I simply think he is young and foolish like we all were when we enlisted. I think they killed patriotism off a few years back.

I can tell at sporting events, I can sence in the crowds the hesitation at removeing our hats or even standing, as if they are waiting for one person to say "hell no". I can see it in out of step color guards walking as if they know they are participateing in the fraud.

I can understand the brotherhood of men suffering together and surviveing but what a far better life for them if they were sitting in a winery in the sun laughing and singing.

What did we realy loose when we lost in Vietnam besides our nations treasure and blood of its youth? been a downhill ride ever since

Of course they do, if people really knew the truth do you still think they'd serve? Informed people do not make good slaves or good soldiers in this case.

Why is it that the people that start these damn wars NEVER have people of their own that fight in them? Think about that for a second......

As for consequences I got one for you. I posted this before, but never got any responses.

I think there are many politicians who have family members serving and who have served themself. I understand and discourage my son from joining because of the blind obedience required and its past abuses by those in command positions, but I am still aware that someone has to be there for those times when defense may and will be necessary

so I respect those who step up in anticipation of that possibility,,,

A short while ago I had to go to our Regional VA Hospital for a biopsy. While there I was stunned to find a city of tents and cars on the property. I was told they were all homeless, mostly jobless, vets.

My own health slipping, I thought to myself... "There but for fortune....". I have been able to maintain a "hand to mouth" existence with my skills, but am considered "unemployable" due to health and age. My abilities are rapidly becoming moot. My efforts for assistance being "under determination" (waiting to see if I die I guess) for some time, with no finacial help available to me.

Government Red Tape!

In many conversations, surfing the web, and functions I attend, I find I am only one of many thousands of my generation in this same "catagory", with many living on hospital grounds, in tents and cars..... beginning to see my disdain?

Feel me now Washington, Wall Street?

Meanwhile, Washington wants to cut Veteran care, eldery care, social security and any future I and others, of our generation, might have. They won't however, quit funding futile "forever wars", the war machine in general, or think of bringing our troops home, cutting the cost of these senseless wars and occupied bases around the world! Haliburton, the bankers, and other large corporations just won't allow it! It's too profitable for them!

Mitt Romney... (I gasped when I heard it!) said "Corporations are people too!". If that were true, and they REALLY WERE people, it seems with the BILLIONS in quartely profits, and bonuses to CEOs and execs they boast of, some small part of it would trickle down to people in need out of HUMAN compassion, or be used to create jobs, and not be so focused on just profits.

Yep, great candidates for President.... More of the same! They are laughable, like game show hosts, ...... save one....

So I wrote:

Ode to homeless Vets

As he stares from the windshield of his new home, he sees a wasteland forming around him
People, once proud and happy, now gleaning precious scraps from the gleaming cans of corporate waste
Small children, once coddled and cooed, now ignored, for fear a hand-out be their request
Once busy streets, bright with small shops, their items proudly displayed, now boarded and lifeless, home to many who seek their shelter

Life becomes existence, struggle, with leisure defined not by rest, but fatigue and starvation
There is no food for his family table. nor even a table, taken with his home, his dreams and pride of ownership
Job lines, bread lines, his fate, while headlines boast of corporate bonus on Wall Street, for jobs well done, but not created
There is water, but none fit to drink or frolic in, poluted by the greed and waste of corporate crimes allowed

He sheds a tear, remembering the call to serve this once great nation, now seen in ruin around him
His many medals, a Purple Heart, no barter for even a meal to sustain him or his family, his tattered coat a baby's bed
His pride intact, his tear is not for self, but greedy self indulgence, which sealed this fate for our great nation
Life, liberty, pursuit of happiness.... words lost on political ear, courage and pride, replaced by war and terror

"Release the dogs of war!" the cry. Born of lust for wealth, control, not caring of the outcome, as our nations vets and soldiers fall prey
This Vet, this broken soldier, this defender of our land, now homeless, and forgotten, repaid with negligent abuse, after giving so much....

So I ask:

What will be our legacy when we have lost all sense of right? Bailing out rich bankers and corporations so they can pay large bonuses to those who have caused this, while our veterans, our citizens, sleep homeless, jobless, with their families in the decaying cars and boarded buildings of government and corporate greed? After all, we elect and pay them to work in our best interests. How you like them so far?

It's time to take back our nation, our freedoms, our rights. Restore our Constitution, our Bill Of Rights, our pride.

Show our vets their sacrifices for ALL of us was NOT in vain!

VOTE RON PAUL 2012!

DULCE ET DECORUM EST(1)

Bent double, like old beggars under sacks,
Knock-kneed, coughing like hags, we cursed through sludge,
Till on the haunting flares(2) we turned our backs
And towards our distant rest(3) began to trudge.
Men marched asleep. Many had lost their boots
But limped on, blood-shod. All went lame; all blind;
Drunk with fatigue; deaf even to the hoots(4)
Of tired, outstripped(5) Five-Nines(6) that dropped behind.
Gas!(7) Gas! Quick, boys! – An ecstasy of fumbling,
Fitting the clumsy helmets(8) just in time;
But someone still was yelling out and stumbling,
And flound'ring like a man in fire or lime(9) . . .
Dim, through the misty panes(10) and thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.
In all my dreams, before my helpless sight,
He plunges at me, guttering,(11) choking, drowning.
If in some smothering dreams you too could pace
Behind the wagon that we flung him in,
And watch the white eyes writhing in his face,
His hanging face, like a devil's sick of sin;
If you could hear, at every jolt, the blood
Come gargling from the froth-corrupted lungs,
Obscene as cancer, bitter as the cud(12)
Of vile, incurable sores on innocent tongues,
My friend, you would not tell with such high zest(13)
To children ardent(14) for some desperate glory,
The old Lie; Dulce et Decorum est
Pro patria mori.(15)
