I agree with oldsage. I've had older guys flirt with me. Both knowing there was nothing real to it. He just commented on how I must have a pack of young guys at my heels.....was innocent flirt no biggie

Do you think that sometimes we get so wrapped up into an "old" love and compare everyone to that person?? Maybe we build up are old relationships so high that a new relationship will never compare to what we did have. I truly believe that IF we think we already had our "soul mate" its going to be very hard to even come close to finding our mate.

I ladies flirt with ladies young & old. Pay them compliments, because I think men should. I would never HIT on a lady, think that is rude & vulgar.

Okay there is a major difference between compliments and flirting. Old men that were around when you were an embryo like boredchick said, IS NOT FLATTERING. Compliments are friendly but can have negative motives. Then flirting is done when you're interested in someone. So an older guy that you're not interested implies there is interest from him but not mutual in this case
