Heck, with any other candidate except Ron Paul, you are simply going to get the same s^%t as you do now and this country cannot handle another 4 years of the same.

While he's got some pretty sound Ideas on the Economy, his Foreign Affairs smell to high Heaven!
Pull all the US Forces home?
Let Russia or China guaranty the Safety of the US Merchant Fleet?
Barbary Coast all over!

Am I the only one who thinks Paul might be a little too long in the tooth?

hell, the guy's so long in the tooth i think he must have been around before the founding fathers and hasn't gotten around to reading what they wrote. funny how americans are easily sold a bill of goods that can never be delivered. as p.t. barnum once quipped, "nobody ever lost a dime betting against the intelligence of the american people." ron seems to understand that as well as p.t. did. hey, he musta been around back then too, huh leigh?

You got that right, look what happened the last time America went to the booth! Also, think Reagan's last year in office! Paul has some good ideas and some very bad ideas IMO. Problem is the choices are shitty. I think "coming out" too soon is a bad idea and hope against hope a good choice will eventually surface!!!

All I'm saying is that at least he's honest and cares about this country, not just who he can "politically sleep" with to make his bank account grow. I'm not sure if he's "exactly" the kind of person we as American's need right now, but IMO he's by far the best candidate in the field. And throughout history, no president has ever pleased everyone.

No matter who ends up in the race, Obama will not get my vote...I'm pround to say he didn't get it the last time either!!

I do think there will be a surprise or two before it's time to push the button though!

what this country needs, imo, as president at this time is a leader. ron paul is not that. as you just said, no president has ever pleased everyone which is exactly why we need somebody who can gather the opposing factions that are in power and form a strange bedfellows coalition. something like ike did with such arrogamt and diametrically opposed, full of themselves egotists such as roosevelt, churchil, stalin, de gaulle and co. so the job can finally get done. eisenhower didn't win the job as allied supreme commander because he'd convinced everybody he could win battles. hell, he'd never seen a day of combat in his life. but he was the best man on the planet at getting people to unite with him and go out and kick butt. he never get's credit for defeating romel in north africa nore the ivasion and victories in cicily and italy but ike was the brainpower behind that too. ron paul keeps selling folks with ideas that the president has no constitutional authority to even come close to making happen. sure it all sounds great but that only works with sound bites.

Hello pot meet kettle.

Sometimes I can come to this forum and get some good insights into how others feel about politics and why. This isnt one of them.

Personaly I would be shamed to say I wouldnt vote for someone because they are "Long in the tooth".

Realy that would be like me saying I wont vote for Perry because he is middle aged like me.

I wont vote for Ron Paul because the end game would be no one would plow the snow off the streets or ensure our water is safe to drink.

I do however like alot of what he says in regards to the Fed.

I do think he deserves a place at the table in the discussion of what is wrong with america because he is correct in alot of what he says.
