Ingredients Bread Butter Sugar Mascarpone cheese Peaches Maple syrup 1. Lightly toast the bread, then slice into squares or triangles (or pentagons for the math nerds). Or, if you have a toaster oven like me, do it backwards. Slice then toast on both sides. 2. While waiting for the bread to toast, dice the peaches. I ended up using only one peach for four slices of bread. 3. Spread some butter on each slice, then sprinkle some sugar. No need to go crazy, just a light sprinkling is enough. 4. Put a dollop of the mascarpone on top of each slice. The amount depends on your taste. 5. Add the peaches on top. 6. Drizzle with maple syrup. Again, the amount depends on your personal taste. I love maple syrup, so I drizzled extra. Copied from the "Kitchen Sink" |

What's mascarpone taste like? What's a good comparison taste? I ask because this looks delicious, but I don't wanna make it and figure out I dislike the taste of that one thing.

There are times when I wish I didn't have to watch carbs, calories, fat etc., and this is one of those times.

Marscapone is a triple cream italian cheese somwhat similar to cream cheese, but much softer and richer. It does NOT contain sugar, and is low carb. It's very high fat! |
