The conservative group American Crossroads is once again attempting to distort reality and attack President Obama’s jobs plan by running a television ad claiming to show former president Bill Clinton opposing the American Jobs Act and the “Buffett Rule.” PolitiFact.com uses one word to characterize this assertion: False.

Apparently the folks at American Crossroads haven’t been paying attention. If they had, they’d know former President Clinton is a strong supporter of the American Jobs Act. Clinton says taxing the wealthy to close the deficit "does the least harm" to the economy, and adds: “All of the estimates [are] that it will create somewhere between 1.3 and 2 million jobs, and drop unemployment by approximately 1 percent, maybe a little more … we can't do much better than that right now.”
