Are your defenses up so high, or are you willing to try again with an open heart? I have no defenses because I'm not afraid to love and I'm not afraid to be hurt. Plus, I don't need to be loved to be happy. I am naturally happy. P.S. I love you. Each of you. All of you.

Defenceless?...yep!  Every day is still a gift, a first day, a new moment. I adore him more, respect him more, and enjoy him more with each day we choose to share together. I love what I recognise in him, and this incredible opportunity to learn Him.

Are we still talking about the same thing? I am talking about guarding my heart so it doesn't get torn out and stomped on by yet another jerk. My love for my friends, and family is unconditional. Quite Right ...you protect your heart,there are good people around but they are very difficult to find.  |

I never learnt to put a wall up, let alone have guards standing there..
Which left me open to be hurt many times.. but it also allowed me to love as well and that is worth more then the hurt I felt later. But if you just remember the good the hurt doesnt last, just the good memories do. |

My walls have been so high it would be like climbing Mt. Everest. But never high for new friends.
I have since learned, that you have to take a chance. Some wonderful things happen when you open up to new experiences and people. I may guard my heart still, until I'm sure it won't be trampled. BUT how can anyone see you, if you hide behind walls all the time. Take a chance and smile at that cute stranger, never know they may just fall in love with that same smile.
