Hello again! Smokey the Puss here. My human, Benji, has just woken up and he has asked me to take him breakfast in bed. The cheek of it! I shall be having a very serious word or two with him shortly: in fact, I am seriously considering getting rid of him and getting myself a new human.
These humans just have to understand that, when they are honoured by the companionship of a cat, the cat is in charge. Agreed? There are only two simple rules in this apartment: Rule 1 Smokey is always right Rule 2 In case of dispute, Rule 1 applies Surely that is not too difficult for him to understand? |

Hi Benji
You have started something very cool. I'm looking forward to following "good morning from England". |

I was hoping to go back to England this year, but it doesn't look like that's happening. I spent a few days in London and Gatwick last year, though.

Hi Benji You have started something very cool. I'm looking forward to following "good morning from England". Thank you so much for your kind words - very much appreciated! I shall ensure that either Smokey or I - depending upon who gets up first in the morning - write in every day. Thanks again. |

I was hoping to go back to England this year, but it doesn't look like that's happening. I spent a few days in London and Gatwick last year, though. If you do manage to come over, please let me know. I used to live in London myself several years ago. I'd be delighted to show you the sights and also the "real" London which tourists seldom see. |

We just had time to see the touristy sights last time. The weather was gorgeous, though, so we probably spent the two days in the city walking everywhere.

The touristy sites are indeed wonderful and are so steeped in history. And yes, you would certainly do some walking in the city. I do hope you manage to make a return visit. Windsor, home of the Queen's famous castle, is well worth a visit, too. You could perhaps take in Scotland, too - home of some lovely castles. And the Edinburgh Festival is not to be missed.
England awaits your return! |

Yeah, I have several ideas for day trips. Paris for one. Stratford Upon Avon/Bath/Stonehenge for another. But, the trip keeps getting postponed, so we'll see.

Yeah, I have several ideas for day trips. Paris for one. Stratford Upon Avon/Bath/Stonehenge for another. But, the trip keeps getting postponed, so we'll see. I know those areas well. Stonehenge really is a must: all the places you mention are. And the Channel Tunnel will take you directly to Paris. You will enjoy yourself: I know you will. |

Hello from England on a bright but chilly Wednesday morning. Smokey the Kitty here, which means - as you've probably guessed - that my human , Benji, is still in bed whilst I am up and about doing the morning post and of course the breakfast - again!! My human must really learn just who is in charge of this household! If this continues I shall be obliged to evict him, I am afraid.
This morning I am having Manx kippers, toast and marmalade and Earl Grey followed of course by cigarettes - and you are most welcome to join me. My human is going to enjoy breakfast in bed when he awakes, but actually he will be getting his comeuppance today as I shall be serving him cat food and milk. That should make him think! Last night Truffles, the little girl cat who lives right next door, decided to stay. As a gentleman feline I really was honoured by her offer, and all night long it was "honour and offer". Suggestions as to how exactly to invigorate my human would be most welcome. In the meantime, have a lovely day and, to all kitties the world over, remember our magic motto - "Pussypower Rules". |

..There's a pot of fresh coffee here, some lovely fresh Earl Grey and lashings of toast and olde English marmalade for you to enjoy - and of course the usual cigarettes, so come on over: you'll be most welcome. Is a lashing, a slice? Good morning, Soufie. Yes, you are quite right, it is. Here in America lashings are considered kinky! Perhaps kinky has a different meaning in England. |
