How right you are! Morning without coffee and nicotine would not be morning at all - it would be absolute hell! How else could one possibly even think about starting the day? drinker

All that sounds too 'fussy' to me:smile:

Maybe I'm just 'unpolished', but I do love my coffee.

No we just grew up with it,

You had brekky, morning tea, which was tea , then lunch then afternoon tea, then tea , then supper.. and with everymeal you have your cuppa tea, for some reason it just goes with it..

As kids you really liked to be allowed to have tea as you felt grown up.

Growing up, the only time we drank tea was when we were sick. I love my coffee but tea is what I turn to when I am not feeling well. I guess old habits die hard

Absolutely correct! Over here, having a cup of tea was a sure sign that you had grown up. And I am impressed that you call your evening meal "tea". Over here, we call it that in the north, whereas in the south they refer to it as "dinner". In the north, dinner was always the lunchtime meal. The English were never easy to understand, lol. A dinner invitation is actually "tea" invitation in northern England.

And "brekky" - we call it that too.

You are right, old habits do indeed die hard! When tea was first introduced over here, it was believed to have strong medicinal and curative properties. I suppose that, if it makes you feel good, it has, to some extent, even today. I do know that is it relaxing.

I prefer PG Tips or Tetley Classic Black myself but am settling for American boring coffee with soy milk.........I don't smoke....cigarette smoke makes my voice completely go away even second hand which some people say is preferable!! LOL. It's funny for about a day but two weeks later...they feel really bad...the worst is cheap Menthols... they do it in a heart beat to me...anyway....foregoing all dating and such this weekend to clean the house and get caught up on work as I was sick all week with the flu and had my neighbor's screaming at their son who got in a fight and left his wife and was staying with them, they are from Mexico and fight in Spanglish cursing in Spanish not knowing the white girl next door lived in LA and understands a lot of what is going on and is offended.... Anyway, that has stopped and so the dogs are not barking at them and my life is back to normal and it's time to reclaim the house....

Depending on which side of the state we live on is how we drink Iced Tea...East Texas drinks it sweet..here on the west and in Central Texas most like it unsweetened.
I can't stand sugar or cream in either my coffee or my Iced tea.

Love my coffee in the morning. But I do have some Earl Grey Tea love the favor but enjoy it in the afternoon close to evening. Try not to drink caffeine after 6. Dr orders not mine plus if I want to sleep.

Sounds excellent!

I got my first cup of the day (Jack Daniels Dark mountain) and a smoke. yummy!

I dig on hot tea with lemon and honey. Had a few cups before bed last week and didn't think I would ever get to sleep.

Anyhow, Good Morning England and everyone else who is up and perking about.

That would be an absolute pleasure. Sweet dreams!
Aww, aren't you a sweetie. I was actually born in Britian and would take a cup of tea over coffee anytime. Also would enjoy the company of a British man over a Canadian as well. Cheers.
For proper tea one has to temper the china cup before adding tea..... The richness blend of tea at high heat allows for scent ingestion....sipping foLlows at the same time..... See you at High Tea some time..... From a Canadian gentleman......

Interesting as most Canadian men would frown if I mentioned having a cup of tea. Sure you aren't British?
