I would like to send out a Very BIG THANK YOU to all blood doners. My Dad was recently blessed by the gift of a transfusion that has greatly releived his suffering. I wish I knew how to do some of the fancy art stuff but maybe all the Mingle Family will help me salute those who give such a personal gift of life to others. You are a living Saint in our books !

Very true.
By removing the blood and replacing
it with freshly manufactured blood
that has no cholesterol in it yet
lowers the numbers.

It is a bonus side effect.

I love when I can give blood but my iron fluctuates so much that I get turned down some times.

Yea that is part of Dad's deal very anemic no matter how we try to pump up his diet nutritionally. Thankfully his sugar is staying pretty stable.

in a gymnasium where everybody else
is giving blood.
Most embarrassing.

I donate when I can, Ive been tempted at times to go and get payed for it but that defeats the act of giving!!!

My sister and I have the same blood type.....our father is AB- and both of our mother were O even though we have different mothers....we both donate

Now,now.When I give blood.I turn pure white.And need to drink a beer!Or I will pass out.Don't know why!But it works.

Don't feel bad if you can't donate least it is nice ti know people would if they could.

Actually I don't think it delutes the gift of giving at all if people get oaid for donateing. If you are young and strong and healthy and can help; especially if it helps out in money crunch, it is just one less pint they have to run around to collect.

It is real pretty here where I am at today and Dad actually felt good enough to go outside and ride on his scooter. Something we were not sure he was going to be able to do they messed around so long getting it too him.
