Topic: FBI & DEA Foil Iranian Terrorist Attack IN US | |
---|---|
House and Senate members are now calling this exactly what it is, an act of war and Obama is hiding under his desk again!

Course they'd use this use this as a means to increase the heat on Iran, they've been wanting an excuse to go to war with them for a long time.
Nothing new under the sun........ |

Members of Congress were quick to condemn Iran over the plot.
Rep. Michael McCaul said if it was indeed sponsored by the Iranian government, "this would constitute an act of war not only against the Saudis and Israelis but against the United States as well." Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., issued a statement saying, "Iran's assassination of a foreign diplomat in our country would have violated both U.S. and international law, and represented an act of war." Sen. Mark Kirk, R-Ill., urged the administration to revisit a request by dozens of senators to target the country's central bank, calling it the "paymasters" for the Quds Force. Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., called the plot an "outrage" and called for increased sanctions against Iran. Rep. Ted Poe, R-Texas, speaking on Fox News, called the plot an "act of war" against the United States. "We have to do something," he said, saying the specifics of the response should be left up to the Defense Department and the president. Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. The saying goes you live by the sword you shall die by the sword...It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader and gladly so
some want such a leader, IM glad we dont have one and Im glad the culture of fear hasn't taken over myself or my loved ones the way it has others .... |

At the very least Obama should be planting the seed in the Isralies heads that it is an act of war againt them and that they should take action and get them to do the dity work for us, Iran isn't that tough of an enemy for Israel being that Israel is a nuclear country and had been for decades.
We can protect them along with along with the UK and France and Germany. Besdes China and Russia wouldn't want to risk being an ally wth Saudi Arabia and Israel so you never know they might go long with it as well. |

How do you think this country got here if not for exactly what you state? |

Let's see if you feel the same at that moment knowing e had the option of daling with thi situaion before it got that far out of hand. |

I dont see the current president in such a light , as one glamourizing and pushing for fighting and warring at the drop of a pin,, or the attempt of one or two individuals (or a plane of extremists),,,,,, |

I dont have all that insider information that proves he isnt doing what 'needs' to be done. There are no guarantees against war anymore than there are against adultery,, even when what was 'supposed' to be done is done. |

But he has certainly done his share too, when it comes to the "terrorists". Fact is, he has done little to change things, like it or not. He is as much a part of the problem as anyone else.

That question doesn't even deserve a response. It has been an issue several times over since he took office, if you can't see that you're not paying any attention at all.

As for me with the memory of Iraq's nonexistent nuclear weapons still fresh in my mind a confession extracted from a used car salesman in Texas after 12 days of presumed water boarding or worse is isnt enough reason to send our kids off to kill and be killed. And realy can we afford another war? |
