i know my weight has gone up and down a few times! and right now i'm more than a few pounds but i try to exercise but i feel if a woman can't eccept me for me then she can just keep walking!shades

Ditto!

I know I'm not a skinny girl. That's clear from my pictures. If a guy has issues with that, it's ok. We all have preferences. He can move onto the next person.

I agree. It doesn't matter to me, really as for the most part as you get to know someone those kinds of things become less important - at least to me they do

Yeah, to me as well. I don't have a specific weight range I look for in guys. It's going to be different for different guys. It has a lot to do with confidence, attitude and personality as well. If they're super fit, yet have a horrible attitude? Not the guy for me.

Some guys are very specific when it comes to weight on women. That's fine with me. I know I'm not going to be the kind of woman for every guy out there. If they want someone skinnier, they should go for it. There are always going to be men out there who are not so worried about weight.

I always choose the "few extra pounds" option when filling things out on sites like these... but thats because the ones that would mean bigger always make it sound like your someone who would end up on Murray or who would need to have the wall ripped out of their apartment in order to get out...

I admit that i have WAY more than a FEW extra pounds... but i dont want to classify as something that sounds gross, because i'm not...

I completely agree with this statement.

Weight and bodies change over time. Im in good shape, but I dont know how my body will change over time so if I read in a profile "she's gotta be in good shape" I move on. I dont think I want to feel like I have to look a certain way to keep him interested.

Ah, well having an out of date picture is different. And I can understand why someone would be upset about that. Luckily, anyone I've met has looked like their picture.

Numbers and averages can be skewed either direction

For me, its means yes more than what I would say is my average but less than Shamu?

Thank Goodness Green Peace never tried to rescue me even at my heaviest!

And Yes I'm in shape, lumpy is a shape!!!

I would think between 2 and 5 would be a few extra pounds.

navy u just make me feel guilty maybe I shoud get back in the gym......sad2

You shouldn't feel guilty but working out is good for you whether you lose weight or not. I actually have never gone to a gymn and just work out in my basement. I was about 40 pounds overweight after my car accident as I couldn't walk for 4 years. I lost it with exercise and just changing my eating habits. I don't diet as diets just don't work. And really; weight doesn't matter as long as you are healthy. These charts they put out about your weight and height are just plain silly. They don't account for large bone mass, or muscles. If I was to be the weight for my height; I would look like I was anorexic.

well, I do need to be careful of what I eat. I have never been tiny but it would not hurt me to lose a dress size. I have pretty well adjusted my eating habits to reflect that I no longer train for 5ks but slip up once in a great while with a candy bar or some fries - I have been trying to stick to a walking and biking program...just don;t feel very motivated just now. But I get out there most days.....usually if things in my life are going well I feel motivated to get my workouts in but if I'm stressed I lose motivation to exercize- ironically at the time it would do more good because it does help to reduce stress

You are correct that it does reduce stress and since I started working out on a regular basis; I seldom ever get sick. I know a lot of personal friends that are now suffering from heart problems as well as diabetes and both are attributed to being overweight. As for slipping up with candy bars or fries; I think its okay to do that once in a while. I don't normally eat junk food or anything fried/breaded as it makes me very sick. I have a routine of getting up at 5:30 in the morning to work out and now have a routine. I found cycling and walking are great but adding the weight training has really produced great results. You could try some 2 or 5 pound weights and incorporate it with you walking/cycling. Of course, talk to your doctor and nutritionist about what is best for you. Well, I gotta run and do a nice bike ride as the weather is fantastic. Hope you can lose the weight you want. Cheers. flowerforyou
