| Topic: Government bully gypsy's into getting evicted! | |

I'm currently trying to keep up to date with a recent news report about when gypsy travellers will be evicted. You know what irks me about that, is that these gypsys have nowhere to live. What are they supposed to do? Why SHOULD they get evicted just cos some people are racist? No way. Apparently they're "pests ". These are people with nowhere else to go. I don't see how it's harming anyone. People make such a drama out of it. "Oh, them ruddy gypsys", it's not like they're ruining your life.

Humm guess that would all depend from where they are being evicted from?
Have not read the story nor heard it. All I can say is if they have no place to go then most likely they are on property that does not belong to them.. Makes me wonder if one would still feel the same if they just walked in ones door and said I'm staying with you cause I have no place to call my own. Then would it still be the same? Takes a whole new meaning when it is looked at in a different way. It has nothing to do with color or what they call themselves but in fact what they are doing.  |

I agree it seems strange after 10 years of them being there that they should now be evicted.Hovever for the people living around there it must have had a significant effect on property prices in that area and surely anyone trying to sell will be having a hard time. Either way some one loses and I guess the the government have taken the side of the people that go by the general rules of society. |
