I like Ron Paul because he wants to take down the fed he speaks honestly and from the heart. However I cant get over that he is a libertarian. The corperate media does not give him the attentian he deservers or earned by his strong showeing in the debates and straw polls. Just another example of how the media shapes our views and forces candidates down our necks.

I wouldnt be disapointed if he was the reoublican nominations simply because alot of what he says is worthy of open and honest debate.

I like alot of he has to say, some of it is a little kooky but that's ok. The guy definitely thinks outside the parallelogram and is pretty effin far from the hum drum republican and democrat that runs.

slaphead whoa The guy's been right for friggin 20+ years and people still try to pretend he doesn't know what he's talking about. FYI, RP was elected and reelcted for 10 terms in Congress.

The fact that he hasn't won a presidential bid yet just speaks volumes about how dumb Boobus Americanus (the vast majority of the electorate) is.

Sometimes idiot's like Paul can get elected and re-elected, just look at Obama, Kennedy, Carter, Frank, Rangel etc. etc. Ron Paul is a lunatic who is not respected by the MAJORITY of the Congress and the Senate and less then 1% of the population in the entire United States. The guy is an extremest and a lunatic.

Extremist? laugh rofl I wish he were radical, honestly. He sticks so closely to history and solid theory that he makes Thomas Paine seem radical. So what if a bunch of ignorant buffoons don't respect him? That doesn't make him wrong. The guy has been right about just about everything for his entire career. Everything he predicted in 2007-08 has come to fruition.

Yeah. He thinks that whole 1900 Galveston hurricane thing went just swimmingly without any FEMA to help. "The Galveston Hurricane of 1900 is to date the deadliest natural disaster ever to strike the United States" (W's hurricane is #2). - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1900_Galveston_hurricane

slaphead You are woefully ignorant. The newsletter you are referring to was not solely written by RP, and the articles in question were written by Lew Rockwell. Besides, if you had even bothered to read those articles, they are clearly not an attack on any race, but a commentary on the failure of welfarism which helped cause the riots. Please do some independent research on these kind of things before throwing around the "racist" label like a buffoon.

Even CNN was honest enough to admit this http://articles.cnn.com/2008-01-10/politics/paul.newsletters_1_newsletters-blacks-whites?_s=PM:POLITICS

But even they weren't honest enough to go into detail about the origin and nature of the articles in question.

Oh, so they were written by Ron Paul and another racist, gotcha. Oh, btw a Congressman and Presidential candidate woouldn't be involved with anything like that unless it was in their beliefs.

Actually all contenders for the Repubs are crazy. They shouldn't even be allowed to be considered for the white house.

. . . BUT, Paul was absolutely correct when he said, "This whole idea that the whole Muslim world is responsible for this and they're attacking us because we're free and prosperous is just not true". For this he was booed by the "exceptionalist" republis.

One thing I learned from reading John Pursig's Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintainance many years ago is that even a man who is a certifiable lunatic can have brilliant and profound insights into some things.

I grew up with a similar saying

'even a broken clock is correct two times a day'

taught me to learn there are no 'complete' idiots or 'complete' geniuses
