Does stress really affect your ability to get pregnant? I am asking as my daughter wants a baby and I told her to relax and just have fun. No pg yet, so could stress of wanting one be doing this?

It is a known fact that stress does affect the ability of getting pregnant.......
 If they have been trying a while they could have the Doctor check them both to see if there are any issues with either one of them... |

this is true and unfortunately the longer a woman is trying to get pregnant and fails the more stressed she gets :(

I wish they'd calm down then! The doctor gave her pills to regulate her cycle and then found she needed some to ovulate. She's been taking them regularly for 6 months now. I've been telling her it took her mom 6 months and not to worry about it, could be longer or shorter (turns out longer!).
Somehow I have to find words to soothe her down when she tells me her cycle started again, I can hear the longing in her voice. That's what dads do you know. |

sex stops being sex and more of a tension because all the way thru she'l be just thinking i want to be pregnant so therefore can't even relax and enjoy it :( tell her to run a hot bath, lite some candles and have a few glasses of vino to get her in a relaxed mood :)

Also at times it has a bearing on how long she had been on the pill prior to trying. It took me a year after coming off the pill to get pregnant the first time.
Normally when couples learn to relax things seem to happen on their own... Maybe they need a relaxing vacation off somewhere beautiful and romantic. Just to take their mind off of getting pregnant and just about each other for a little while. They say it works wonders...

I just had my weekend talk with my daughter and her and hubby decided when it happens it happens. It sounds like they are just going to enjoy life and get pg whenever now. Thank goodness.

its really hard fpr me to get pg the doctors told me to stop trying lol. took 6 months i was pg with my first daughter 3rd try on my son and my last daughter i wasnt supost to be able to get much less carry her
soooooooo...... there is hope it will happen when she least expects it lol |
