the pregnancy

feeling her move inside me

i could only imagine what she looked like, how tiny her little hands and feet were

knowing i would hold her and touch her very soon made it all the more difficult to wait to open my perfect gift

even the discomfort i felt, knowing it was because she was there, made it all the more tolerable

4:30am came and i was already awake.

the storms outside were strong

my 2 other girls had crawled in bed with me and as i watched them sleep the contractions began

from experience, i figured i would have a very long weekend with over 20 hours of labor slowly intensifying with the next round

however, when they were only a few minutes apart i knew it was a race against time

a few hours later and a lot of pain, with my 15 year old daughter on one side of me and my husband on the other, i gave birth to the most beautiful sight my eyes have seen in a lifetime.

she was as perfect as my other 2 girls were and i was speechless as they laid her on my bosom

she was real

her little hands and feet mimicked what i felt in my womb

my husband...a grin and a pride you couldn't wipe away

my daughter... tears of amazement and joy

as tears well up in my eyes while i type these words, there is nothing in this world that can replace what i experienced just a week ago.

i look at my family.

i am truly blessed.

Me and Lisa are gonna be having a baby boy in December :)

Girls or boys are precious critters. I am hoping my daughter and her husband accomplish their resolution so I can hold one again.

Wow - how beautiful. They grow up so fast though. Cherish those young days, make a diary of what they do, make keepsakes. Children are a precious gift, and to be barren or sterile must be dreadful.
